Blood Gulch or the Pit/Construct for me.

I say Valhalla was not an acceptable replacement for Blood Gulch. A map where I can just go into a cave under cover, grab 2 shotguns and then sneak into the other base with incredible ease is not a good map. Especially with the very few entrances Valhalla has.

Blood Gulch. Coagulation would win if the map wasn't so damn small.

My personal favorite is "Select"
-
One of my favorite maps of all time. <3
Posted by: Wonderbread Facing Worlds. I don't care if the title says Halo map, Facing Worlds transcends games.
Lockout and blood gulch are my all time favorites.
-
The Pit
-
I love sandtrap
-
Bording Action and Valhalla

Headlong.

Standoff and Valhalla!

Blood Gulch and Sand Trap
-
Valhalla or longshore (IMO)
-
Warlock and Asylum. Probably. Probably.
-
Was? Ouch
-
Guardian. Also Powerhouse for the easy-to-find grenade launcher.
Posted by: A 3 Legged Goat The Pit's major flaw is the fact that it's divided in half by a huge wall. In Slayer there's really no where to control other than the enemy team's half of the map. There's no true middle ground or area of interest. It's just their base or yours, much like Tempest. Just not fun in Slayer unless the teams are just running around chasing kills. I prefer to play on Slayer maps where we're constantly pushing for a set up, like Valhalla. It gives thought to the kills you get as opposed to just chasing what moves. Good maps have middle ground worth fighting for. Without this they tend to falter in Slayer. Pit is good for objective though, as are a lot of maps that share this problem.
Insightful, thank you.
Posted by: Agent Peeps
Posted by: A 3 Legged Goat lol at people saying The Pit or Guardian. The former was terrible in Slayer and the latter was just plain bad. Standoff is the best map in Halo 3.
Really Goat? I didn't know you didn't like the Pit, Guardian I can understand because of the one-sided adavatage off spawn but the Pit? How come? I do agree with you on Stand-off, that is an excellent map and probably/arguably The best out of all the halo3 DLC.
The Pit's major flaw is the fact that it's divided in half by a huge wall.
