Community Spotlight: Recon Number 54
We took some time this week to speak with Recon Number 54, long-time Bungie fan and one of our Master Forum Ninjas. Read about how he first became involved with the community and what's kept him coming back all these years.

I had no idea you were so young Recon! I too have lurked in the shadows for sometime, but people like yourself have made posts and threads that were truly thought inspiring. Now I cruise the forums in my downtime to enjoy community dicussions, and on occation try to contribute.

Good read it's nice to learn a bit of background to regulars on the site. I do love the way recon "appears" like a mushroom after the rain on such diverse topics and now i know why...... *he sees / reads everything!. He comes across as a really nice guy on these boards and now *after seeing his picture* my prototype-santa clause!!

Dean sure can throw a great party and is one hell of a friendly and gracious host.

Great story :) I'm glad I got to know a little more about my favorite Moderator. I knew that you were close to my age (I'm just a teeny bit older, but not much! LOL), and were married, but that was about it. It's nice to finally see someone in the same age bracket get some respect for being a part of the gaming community....now...cut ME some slack on Live people! As you can see, we upper agers ARE a real part of the community and it doesn't look like we're going anywhere fast. So sit down, hush, and reload your BRs cuz we're out there and you never know when you'll meet us! :) Anyway, Recon, *ahem*....(composes self)....back to the original subject. You seem to be an all around great guy and I commend you for putting up with us here on the forums cuz I know for a fact it ain't an easy task sometimes. You definitely bring to this community an air of fairness, craziness, and diplomacy so often lacking in this world. And by the way, I didn't know you were from South Florida! That's where I live. Alas, your absence here has left quite a Recon-shaped hole that will forever be here....South Florida has lost one of its best :( Keep on rockin, Recon, and I look forward to watching and being a part of the "Recon"-noitering that goes on here on the forums....LOL
