"Mail-bombing" 343 industries' Twitter Account

Maybe I'm just crazy, but I thought that we, as PC Gamers, could contact 343 industries asking them to port new Halos to PC. Since 343 industries has no email contact, I thought that the only way to reach them was to send a message to their Twitter account. In order to make everything more effective, we should send our messages on the same day. I even thought about a possible date for the event: 20th March. What do you think? Would you like to join? Be careful: Spam is not allowed.

 •
Posted by: I RaveN I Well here's something. Anyways, if it did happen you can bet there'd be a catch.
You need an account there to see it. :P Edit: I highly doubt you'll be able to play full 360 games on PC. You're most likely going to be just playing Xbox Live Arcade games. Even if you can play full 360 games, it will suck for these reasons: 1. The graphics won't be increased. Seeing as though they are just 360 games being played on your PC, they'll have the same options. No true HD, no higher resolution textures, no anti-aliasing, nothing that makes PC graphics so much better. 2. Either no mouse/keyboard support or terrible support. Probably even worse than Halo 2 Vista. Like I said before, no new graphical options so therefore we're probably only getting 30 FPS for all the 360 Halo games. I know that certain people can play with a kb/m on 30 FPS, but a lot of people (including myself) can't stand it. 3. It's working off of actual Xbox Live and therefore you'd have to pay monthly for it if you don't already now. That's a huge kick in the balls to any gamer that's used to PC gaming. Definitely Steam. 4. No modding support. Very obvious. 5. No dedicated servers. Again... Very obvious. 6. I know I already basically covered this with no graphical options, but this can stand out on its own. No FoV options. FoV options are very important when it comes to PC games and it's been ignored by many developers over the years. TotalBiscuit puts it perfectly in this video. 7. It would make every multiplayer game unbalanced. One side would definitely have an advantage over another; that's something that Shadowrun proved without a shadow of a doubt. If all these things I've listed are true, the advantage would probably be for console gamers as ironic as that sounds. [Edited on 03.10.2012 8:23 PM PST]

Also, xlive on tablets/stuff that wouldn't be able to play xbox games anyways (which is what w8 seems to be designed for...) could just mean like the windows phone xlive, where you just get access and (hoorah?) gamerpoints for phone games. Can't wait to get the 100 points for beating minesweeper on [strike]legendary[/strike] hard! Also, I read mail-bomb as spam. So we're not going to all mail-bomb them then? :( [Edited on 03.10.2012 4:42 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: stefen99 Well there is the rumor of windows 8 having xbox emulation built in
That rumors been confirmed to be false for quite some time and I could guarantee that playing Halo games that way would be no where near as good as having a port. In fact, I would be wager they would be a lot worse than Halo 2 Vista.

 •
Posted by: Dr Syx These sorts of things are not up to 343 Industries. It's ultimately up to Microsoft. The only reasons Microsoft ever ported the Halos to the PC were for a special reason. Halo: Combat Evolved PC - Steve Jobs was extremely upset about Microsoft taking in Bungie to make Halo as an exclusive for Xbox after he had shown Halo off as a Mac game. Microsoft agreed to port Halo, along with a few other games, to the PC/Mac. Halo 2 Vista - Vista was already being rumored to be a terrible operating system for gaming and Microsoft was already planning to start their initiative to take over the PC gaming market with Games for Windows Live. It just made sense that they could use their most profitable franchise to win gamers over while keeping the newest in that franchise (Halo 3) as a Xbox 360 exclusive. If they were to port another Halo, they would need a good excuse to do it. As of right now, there's no real mention of anything that would suggest otherwise. No amount of messages, protests, petitions, or hate will ever convince Microsoft to do it if they don't see an absolutely clear business opportunity in it.
Well there is the rumor of windows 8 having xbox emulation built in, and the fact that they seem to be trying (and ultimately failing) at cornering the PC market again. I've stopped giving a damn about halo on PC long ago though, Its becoming so dumbed down that it doesn't even resemble its former self.
