• Wow! I have to say, this game gets impossible once you actually use the blue bar! I'm still having trouble figuring out how to use the textures. It says the script should already be in my folder with the application, but it's not. Can somebody help me out?
3. Put the 'Textures M1' script (text file) in your 'Scripts' folder which should be inside your M1A1 folder (if not create one).
On another note, the thread should be updated to link the right music for the right version. I had go look through this thread for a while before I found someone else that had it figured out. Save us the hassle!
Posted by: Synthmilk Ok, after following my own link that I have in my sig, I have discovered the problem: That "alternative" mp3 list only works with M1A1 for SDL v1.2. NOT WITH M1A1 for SDL v1.6, which is the version linked to in this thread. This Page contains your basic Marathon downloads, including links to some of the various music and other files that you can get for each version. This Link is to the M1A1-SE Ogg Vorbis Tracks that work with M1A1 for SDL v1.6 Download it, unzip it to someplace other than your Marathon folder, and it will make the folders Marathon Special Edition with the folder M1A1 Tracks inside it, with all the necessary files inside of that. Copy or move all the files in this M1A1 Tracks folder and put them into the M1A1 Tracks folder whever you installed M1A1 for SDL v1.6 to. Say yes to all when it asks you if you want to replace existing files. Poof, you have music, really quiet relative to the other sound effects but thats ok. The Marathon 2 tracks can be downloaded from Here And are installed in the same manner.
[Edited on 03.25.2007 8:53 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: Count Rolland I hope this isn't too out of line for this topic, but... marathon pwnzn00biezz A-hem. Slightly more on topic, I'll say that I've never been able to play any of the three online. I know Aleph One is supposed to fix everything, but I just was never able to get it to work on my comp(mac,& don't u say a word, pc people). Either the machine is just too old, or I was doing one thing wrong the whole time and never figured it out. That's why I'm hoping bungie will put the trilogy on the XBL Arcade soon.
What OS are you using and what are the basic specs for your computer?

 •
Posted by: Locke The storyline doesn't really tie into Halo. That's not to say there aren't connections...
I would say, in the words of Bungie, it "parallels" the Halo storyline... ...almost as if it were a dream. ;) Do dead men dream? -Alex ;)

 • I got all three games today, and have played the first for a couple of minutes. It seems promising, but the texture enhance download is taking forever at a speed of ~800 bytes/second, meaning I'll have to wait 55 hours for the high and 16 hours for the medium enhancer. Any other site that hosts these files??? [Edited on 10/26/2006]

 •
Posted by: yenraBdellikI OK... I downloaded Marathon 1, and the music. I extracted the files into the M1A1 Tracks folder. But I've yet to hear music. I don't know if I'm just not far enough into the game, or if I did something wrong, but could someone just describe about how far into the game music plays for the first time? This will help me know if I did something wrong (which I think I might have).
check the preferences and see if there is a soundtracks or enable music option.
