•
Posted by: QuestVibes Man I've tried everything and looked at multiple forums to set this up. Everything is set up correctly, my 360 is found on XBC but when I enter a game on my computer it just never shows up on my Halo 2 screen. Sucks.
Have you checked your NAT,Firewall or Port Forwarding?

 • You should probably mention, you can't use a mixed connection. Ex: Can't have wired Xbox360 to router and Wireless from computer to router. It just doesn't work.

 •
Posted by: Grumpy1
Posted by: SteroidKloud Hey guys! I need help! This is my setup All I use for Internet is that white box. I do not have a modem and a router and a dcard or whatever, all that stuff it was saying in the tutorial. That white box sitting on my TV just connects to everything wirelessly and is plugged into a power source, and I have unlimited data with 10 mbps download speed. How would I use XBConnect with that. It's called a Vividwireless Home gateway
Your phone is your computer so you would have to see if you can dl the xbconnect software. If you can then at that point it should be the same as a laptop where you do not use a modem. I don't know what the white box is, whether it acts as a hub or router or if it has it's own firewall (which could stop you from connecting). I'm not an expert in this but it seems logical to see if xbconnect is a downloadable app first and work from there. That first link seems to only be an advertisement, is that what this is all about?
I didn't get the phone with mine. I will explain. It is a white box. With 2 Ethernet and 2 phone connections. It has a power plug that goes to the power. It is completely wireless and connects to hubs around the city. You cannot use a router, or modem with it.

 • Found XBConnect searching the internet one day, was always wondering if there were enough players to make it worthwhile. Was also wondering about the map packs that were offered. The last day Halo 2 was available online, somehow Bungie corrupted all the files and I no longer have the Halo 2 maps, are there ways to get them? Would love to give this a try after I get moved. Any info would be much appreciated.

 •
Posted by: FindableFlyer You know that if you a xbox 360 you can put the disc for normal xbox games in it. But you need xbox live. Like halo 2 its for normal xbox if you have live it will work trust me. :)
That only works for games Microsoft found popular enough to port them to 360.

 •
Posted by: RogueWolf I77V
Posted by: Moifugley Xlink Kai is better.
I have seen nothing that makes Xlink stand out from XBC. Other then the fact that XBC has a nice stand alone UI, while Xlink is now browser based and messy.
xlink kai is very nice and easy to use, and is comepletely free.(btw the choice between browser based or seperate program is optional. the default is browser based.

 •
Posted by: ansac11 So out of curiosity, does the skinned version work better than the pro version? Or does the connection speed/amount of lag strongly depend on the NAT and Computer? P.S. Are all of our Xbox LIVE options disabled(i.e. Xbox Live Parties)?
The skin doesn't make a difference, unless your computer is slow, I suppose, than I wouldn't get that one. The question about the parties, OXBL didn't support parties, you can't even access your xbox guide while playing an OXB game. But the voice chat is still active over this program. It just tricks your box into thinking it's on a LAN.
