Flame throwers ?

biggest problem with the flamethrower is how slow and obvious you are, hard to do anything but hide and try to ambush people, and even then your vulnerable and clumsy

maybe..we will find out eventualy. but here is an idea involving them. if youve seen the WW2 videos of flame throwers you would know that they have a good 20 yard range. but actuly dident have a large spread radius. and thinking about energy shields what if the flame thrower dident stick to people when there shields were up? but had realistic range over heated quikly and only could damage shields moment tarily. just an idea(with room for improvements)
