Multiplayer Map Pack Early Adopters
The official release is still a few days away but that hasn't stopped some retailers from ringing up early sales. If you happen to find a retailer who is offering the map pack prior to Tuesday, July 5th, feel free to pick it up. You are welcome to play the new maps in custom games on Xbox Live without fear of being banned or penalized. The Bungie.net game viewer has already been updated to include all 5 new maps.
[b]Bungie and the Live Team will not be taking any action against anyone who has these maps early, despite rumors that have been circulating the 'net.[/b]
The Multiplayer Map Pack disc will officially be available at most retailers starting 7/5. Xbox Live members will also be able to purchase the five new maps as a premium download starting next Tuesday. The previous four maps are all currently available as a free download.
The five new maps will not be available in Halo 2 Xbox Live matchmaking until Monday, July 11th. At that time, the "Team Preview" and "Rumble Preview" playlists will be activated for owners of the new maps to enjoy matchmade games. Turf and Sancutary will be integrated back into the core "free" playlists as well. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy these new maps via custom games or offline with your pals.

OK finnaly for the last time The Maps come out July 5, 2005 they are $11.99, The Disc will cost $19.99 teh disc will work on more then just 1 xbox. The Maps willl come out at 12:00 easteren time zone PLEASE NO MORE POST AND STOP MODDERS REPORT THEM

Does anyone know the exact time of release of the new maps for download? I know with the last release, it was around midnight eastern time when the maps became avaliable for download. I just wanted to know if it would be the same senario this time as well. Any info about the time of release is greatly appreciated..

Will i need to buy a seperate disc for each XBOX, like my friends would have to buy their own, or could we get one and use the download multiple times? does anybody know if this is possible?

Man that sucks that I cant find a retailer in Illinois that has it...-blam!- retailers. Oh well only two more days. Do you think they will be able to download at midnight or like 1:00 a.m. on the 5th. Cause if they wont be able to download until the morning i want to get a good nights rest so i can wake up early and start playin them!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new maps are great... Containment is great, but Terminal might be my new favorite! I have faith in Bungie's ability to get the cheating storm quelled. I have not played much on Live! since the last reset, once this new update is out and the new maps are playable - I simply cannot contain my glee! Woo hoo! Planning to take a few days off work...
