because the word is dumb and overused in the wrong way , for example n00b=new to Halo or Halo 2 someone called me a n00b but I have been playing Halo for four years . Many people misplace n00b with inexperienced player because for some reason when they see someone that's not beating them they call them n00b for reasons unbeknownst to me .
