Wow. A huge dump of information thanks to Sketch and the test team, with everything you could ever need to know about matchmaking changes, stat resets and cheating. It's all inside. Go read. Go!

Just to say, I don't get half as much lag as I did before - God bless you Bungie! [partly because I now have 1mb, but what the hell]. I'd also like to shoutout that the clan I am in rocks - thank you HBO Helljumpers for great custom games! And finally - what would Mister Chief look like if he appeared in an iPod + iTunes advertisement? Can't wait for this one!

guys what the heck is going on with all these stinking laggy games? i thought the autoupdate was supposed to smooth that all out. oh yeah and also when are the new maps officialy going to be available for free download? because i hear different things from different people with different dates of we it will be available. please help me i'm going insane with it!!

Not sure if this is the way to ask questions for the Weekly what's up update, but here goes. there is a brilliant competition on Bungie stores at the moment (everyone should go enter). but why are these always restricted just to the United States. Didn't J (Allard) proclaim that it was time to stop shafting the Europeans. Are we Brits and Dutch less deserving of cool toys then our US counterparts? If you had organised the Halo 2 world championships instead of the XBL team would you have excluded Europe in that too:p???

hey, i take it this is where the weekly update questions come from?...okay, i have two things...one, why can't you just have a weapon in your left hand...i'm left handed and i feel kinda sad...i can customize my M.C. w/ all kinds of cool colors and symbols...but no left handed-ness (new word) ...anyway...thats one...one more...can i see mister chief as the lead singer for "Queen" (rock band...not the England figurehead) P.S. (or post script...whichever you prefer) i like ellipses (...) :D

I wanted to know what you think about beatdowns. Shouldn't a person wielding only one weapon have a quicker reaction to someone wielding two guns when it comes to beatdowns? This just seems fair to me to help those who don't like to double wield. Thx.

Frankie, Me and my cousin were thinking. Since most of the cheating seems to be so that people can say they are an exremly high level, what if you guys hid the levels so that they are there still and you are playing against people of your skill but you dont know what level you are. then that might stop some of the cheaters because they will have no motivation to cheat because there is no reward.

Frankie, Everyone seems to be running into hackers on live now days. The current banning system is not helping with resoveing these situations it only seems to be getting worse. Why cant Bungie change the way that they ban people or start sueing those that are violating the TOA? Make an exapmle of them and toss some feer into these little twerps.

I know the new maps come out the 5th of July. but how much are they on LIVE or the retail stores, Which ones will carry it? Also, the new animated short, how can I get my grubby hands on it w/o buying the disk? THanks to anyone that knows the answer. [Edited on 6/10/2005]

Is this where we ask questions for weekly update? am i too late? i have a few questions. 1. When you start the game after the guitar and the bungie logo pass and it asks you to press start, what is that 1.1 at the bottom right hand corner of the screen? Its there when it asks u to press start than dissapears after you press start. 2. I am going to take a game design course at iaod in toronto u think its worth it? o.0 3. What little info can we get on this secret cinematic on the cd coming out july 5th. Does it have anything to do with the story of halo? Is it more of a demo or preview of your next project? 4. When can we get any little info on your next project? 5. Whats the average age of all the people that work at bungie and work on halo. (currently) 6. Name 5 cereals!

alright i geuss this kinda is a stupid question and i'm not even sure if you will answer this in the "weekly whats" but im interested.do you guys know ho has the best high level averaage in all the playlists? i think there should be a leaderboard like that where it averages out all of your levels to see who the best overall player is.

So let's get this straight. Bungie claims that people get banned the moment they start cheating, but yet my friend has standbyed or w/e to get his lvl in team skirmish. Why doesn't he get banned. When people playing with or against him ask him what he is doing, he says simply, "I am getting back at the people who stand by on me." All I want to know is why he hasn't got banned. Please tell me so I can give you his name.

When that issue of OXM went to print, it was correct. However, Bungie switched Elongation with Warlock. Hope this answers your question. ~roCk

couldnt have put it better. im fed up with these people named BlUeScReEnEd. you go into a game with them on their other team and one word comes to mind: screwed. As soon as the game starts you run around a bit and suddenly! Connecting to game.... Restablishing connection.... and all that then suddenly BOOM! a big red flash and your dead. your entire teams dead. and its 4-0. it goes on all game. Gee, How fun. i hope you ban every damn cheater on xbox live and i hope they suffer. this kid i sit next to in math class cheats every game. he stand bys, wart hog cheats, dummies, everything. hes been baned like 8 times. his names like MaSteR YoDa or something... BAN HIM PERMADENTLY

on the start screen it says that it is halo 1.1 halo 2 will be comping onto PC also when does the other maps coming out [Edited on 5/2/2005]

My question for Bungie is this: What is the deal with Halo 2.5?!?!?...If thats been asked then: Why are there no plans to make Halo 2 for PC? As far as I can see, on a computer you would be able to run Halo 2 with the graphics you showed us at E3. Maybe you could even make a map editor to sell seprately for the same price that works on both xbox AND PC so people would get both, pretty much getting at least $100 out of each copy of Halo 2. So, why not?

i think thats complet stuff... but i herd that rumor also playing in the game. Thats complet stuff that bungie can do something like that even if its a accident. So im just currious on why they would all of a sudden start to do something on this level of mentalitly... but in retrospect from a third person point of view seeing someones account being banned for a week is slightly amuseing....well thats just my oppion so don't take it too harsh or whatever.
