Yup that's right. Jeff Gordon won the Daytona 500. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa woooooooooooooooooooooo!!! But damn, that was a crazy ass finish. But he won and that's all that matters. Yyyaaaaaaaaaa!
PS- Don't bash NASCAR. If you don't care about it, don't post about it. It's that simple. Also, if you haven't noticed I'm a fan of the 24 DuPont Chevrolet.
Posted by: EarthDemon 7 god i hate Jeff Gordon he is such a cry baby i like tony stuert
Wah ho. Wait a second there. You got those two mixed up. Ya see, Tony's the cry baby. After all his hard work he couldn't win the race so he has to make a fool out of himself and take his anger out on Johnson(who did absolutly nothing to him).

It was a good race, and Jeff Gordon is my favorite driver.
Posted by: Caddywampus Jeff Gordon is terrible...
The only reason you think he is terrible is because you think he had too much success too fast, WRONG. He's just that good, and you didn't have to come into this thread anyways, you can plainly see what it's about. I would put up Jeff Gordon's NASCAR Stats against anyone in NASCAR right now. He has 4 championships, and 70 career victories in such a short career, that doesn't seem terrible to me, that seems astounding, he's accomplished that feat quicker than anyone before him, in a sport that grows in its competitiveness every season, so please, please tell me why he is so terrible. Bottom Line is.... You Can't. [Edited on 2/25/2005 1:50:37 PM]
Posted by: Captain K Mart It means nothing unless he wins the championship this year.
Actually, The Daytona 500 is more of a championship in itself, that race and that race alone isn't about points, it's all about the trophy. Yes I'm a fan of his too, and people can bash on him all they want, but he is one helluva driver. To the guy above me, the INDY 500 is "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" [Edited on 2/25/2005 1:26:50 PM]

i am well aware that people call the daytona 500 the great american race, even thought its not great and the indy 500 is much better.
Posted by: Caddywampus i hate nascar, and the Indy 500 is the great american race, not the daytona 500.
Well first off, why the -blam!- do you open your mouth when you have nothing to say. Do you know any red neck/nerds? I didn't think so. Everytime people hear people talk about NASCAR they automaticly think they're red necks.
Other than the fact that NASCAR was born in the South, there is no relation between being a fan and being a redneck. Inferences like that are pretty mind-numbing. Yes, I agree with flamechu. [Edited on 2/22/2005 4:13:07 PM]
Posted by: Captain K Mart Who ever has the best car should win, that doesn't mean that they deserve to win. Luck plays a role in winning as well.
Naaahhhh, really. Do you think R. Petty would of won all the championchips if he didn't win half has many 500s than he did? Winning the 500 gives you a lot of momentum going into the season.

Who ever has the best car should win, that doesn't mean that they deserve to win. Luck plays a role in winning as well. I don't care for Tony Stewart either.
Posted by: Captain K Mart Well the way you're talking I'm guessing that you don't enjoy it. Which means you don't watch it. Which means you don't know what you are talking about.
The way you blindly assume things make me think of you as arrogant and ignorant. Yes, I did watch it. No, I did not enjoy it. Perhaps if Mr. Four-time Champion hadn't won, and someone who actually deserves to win had won, then I probably would have enjoyed it more.
Who ever has the best car deserves to win. Jeff Gordon was at the front the entire race. T.S. didn't win because he's lead the most laps many times before, but has never won. So that just slimed his chances of winning even more.
