Halo Hauls in Awards!
The shorthand version is that Halo 2 won BEST CONSOLE GAME, BEST ACTION GAME and BEST ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. Noah Robischon from Entertainment Weekly summed it up beautifully, saying, "suddenly November 9th seemed like a long time to wait." The other critics represented the following organziations:

1 ReplyYeah, this is simply proof of Halo 2's excellence. Im looking forward to Doom 3 (more than Half life 2, i dont liek half life) but Halo 2 is just going to blow everythign else away. One of my friends is looking forward to Metroid Prime 2, which is also going to come out in November. Hes like "So you gonna camp outside Gamestop to get your copy of MP 2?" Im like "Nah, ill be too busy playing Halo 2" HAHAHA

Psm {playstation magazine}says that Halo 2 is goung to ROCK! Keep up the good work Bungie!!!!!! november ninth is goung to be like Christmas but better!

congrats, bungie!! you guys rock. and something that's not mentioned enough is the Story backing up the game. yes, not much 'story' at this year's e3 halo2 multiplayer, but- when i'm playin' halo, i'm not just wandering around shooting things- however cool it looks. there's an awesome story giving fuel and zest to our upcoming halo2 experience. i'm sure doom3 is nice, but, it just seems to 'shooting gallery' to me. it seems you guys are giving 110% to all angles of the game.

Yeah i hope its an Xbox exclusive also. Although, you know how easy it is to port Box games to a PC? Im sure its inevitable, but we can all hope (except you Halo PC gamers) that it really is xbox exclusive. That would rock.

This game is going to rule. It not even out and it is getting the good awards. Bungie is no doubt the best at making good games. Keep it up, can't wait until 11/9/2004.

All I know is happy programmers work better and faster (Said at begining of year when Halo and some other game had a face off at gamespy.com, of course Halo won)

No wonder Halo 2 won best online multiplayer game. If a person has halo than that is the only game u would need 2 play online. nother game even had a chance. COGRATULATIONS BUNGIE!!!!!!!!! U've made the best game ever and now ur getting ur due. Good for u. in my opion u should have won many more awards but 3 awards are better than none. so great job bungie on a job well done.

Splinter Cell is fine, any time Halo2 wins something over Doom 3 is a day for me to be happy. My friend has it in his head that Doom 3 is going to be millions of times greater then Halo 2, talking about how "great Doom's graphics are." I just sit there and stay at him awhile, show him a the long list of awards Halo2 has gotten from multiple sites, and then point out Doom 3 hasn't won anything. We will see who's bragging when November 9th comes around and I'm having the time of my life on LIVE while he is stuck playing boring and repetitive zombies.

Holy Crap...BUNGIE YOU SO TOTALLY ROCK!!! Splinter Cell shouldn't have one those other awards, the judges just didn't want it to look like they were favoring you so they had to give some awards to different people.

Congrats bungie, looks like you succeded in making the killer multiplayer experience you wanted too. That is a great achievement, and I commend the love you guys put into this game. I cant wait for novemember 9th like everyone else here, and from how much effort we've seen from you guys, looks like you cant wait either :D

Frankie i dont man to be rude but what is up with the update drought. I realise you have been giving us articles like this one but are we getting any new screenshots or info soon. Before you say it yes the updates are great and give a great insight into production but would it killl you to ease up on the secrecy of information even a little, for example a picture of the new Covenant Shadow
