There's no reason to not have facebook.

I don't understand all the hate Facebook gets on this forum, it's retarded. It's like the majority of you hate everything connected with a social life and mainstream popularity. It's great for keeping in touch with people, setting up events and organizing things. I'm just wondering how people on this forum organize group tasks with larger amounts of people? If I get put in charge of organizing something with my project group I just make a post on the FB project group and it's done. Everyone can see eachothers' posts and there's no confusion. Good luck gathering everyone at the same time IRL or using texts and email. As for "stupid" posts I just laugh at them, you can choose who you add too so if that bothers you just ignore or block certain people. In my opinion a lot of you probably have little friends and blame others claiming they're too stupid etc. It's a common theme here; loners take the "most people aren't worth my time" route. There's zero reason, in my opinion, to not have a Facebook. Besides the real awkward kids in my school I don't know anyone who doesn't have FB. [Edited on 05.06.2012 9:24 AM PDT]
It's a whole lot easier to just not have one then to worry about being fired over a post or a like.
I think you're missing the point. Facebook can be a medium for people to express their stances and opinions. The story that you linked was about people getting fired because they "Liked" statuses relating to their bosses opponent in the upcoming election. It's not Facebook that cost them their jobs, it's their own lack of common sense. If you support something via facebook, it's the same thing as declaring it in front of everyone in real life, so I'm astounded that people are still surprised that they can get in trouble for saying something over Facebook, since they assume they are safe from repercussions online.
