Xur weapon upgrade did nothing. Lost the 7 strange coins in transaction
2 weeks ago I did the Toland quest and received the Bad Juju pulse rifle. This weekend Xur had the upgrade. I purchased the shard for 7 strange coins and purchased the upgrade. Nothing happened. The gun still did the same damage, had the same max dmg cap, and the same extra upgrade specs.
BUG: XUR should not transact when the item is already at same level. At the very least a warning should be displayed. It is painful to lose 7 strange coins when you are a casual gamer . The ideal solution is to not accept the upgrade unless the weapon can be upgraded.
Is there a way to get my strange coins back? It took me forever to get them.

The response to this post are odd. This is a BUG forum right? That means it is the place for us to report bugs for a Bungie employee to read, so it can be fixed and put into the next release. There is no question that an NPC vendor performing an invalid transaction is a BUG. HOw ever small a bug is a bug. And the transaction is invalid if the upgrades are only for pre-dlc weapons.

The upgrades are only for pre dlc exotics. They used to max out at 300 so you have to upgrade them to 331.

Well my friend bad juju should of already been fully upgraded if u got it two weeks ago. Xurs upgrades are for the exotics that only Max out at 300
