The likely update-
We refused to listen to the masses, instead electing to only listen to in-house feedback. Here is a list of our changes:
We are keeping vault space as it is. Players hoarding items wasn't the way we intended the game to be played, and it is far too technically complex to add in additional space.
Since Ascendant materials are an important currency, we've decided to up the chance of recieving them from Legendary engrams by 75%. Alongside this, marks can now be used to purchase ascendant and radiant materials at a transfer rate of 10 marks per 1 ascendant material and 100 marks per 1 radiant material. However, we've halved the weekly cap of marks to 50 and lowered the holding capacity from 200 to 100 to ensure players don't get ahead of each other too rapidly. It's no fun to play at a disadvantage.
No survival mode has been added, but there already exists a feature where, if a player dies they can restart from a checkpoint and fight numerous enemies. This resembles the requested gamemode, so players looking for a fight against numerous AI enemies should start there.
Grimoire is accessible from the Bungie website. We did this so people can view the story by exiting the game, going to a computer, logging into our website, and reading the lore partitioned into small and disjointed bits. We heard your feedback, loud and clear, and as such we are adding a terminal in the tower which will display a link to our website, which players can then input onto an internet browser outside of the game to view the lore.
As you complete sections of the grimoire, cards are unlocked on our website, revealing background lore which we didn't place ingame. In this way, players get to understand the background lore, and we get large amounts of traffic to our website. It's a win-win.
Your appearance can be altered by shaders which alter the color patterns of your armor, making you appear totally unique from anybody else ingame.
We chose to keep the bounties exactly as they are, to ensure consistency and that players are repeating the same tasks over and over for the same rewards daily. We wouldn't want any bounties to be exploitable, so don't expect any changes for the near future.
You can now play any mission you want on any difficulty and can control if the Heroic modifier will be enabled or not based off your difficulty selection. In this way, we promote variation in our gameplay by offering the Heroic modifier multiple times for every mission.
Of course we don't want every single core player looking identical, our diverse plethora of shaders can help. You just need the shader in your inventory to equip it. Then, your color scheme changes, rendering you adequately unique from other players. We've had this since release, but we're really looking to expand it by adding in multiple recycled, slighty modified shaders.
Crota's End sparrow is vastly different from its Vault of Glass counterpart in its color scheme. The two have completely different colors used and as such are unique rewards.
We agree, all those low impact auto rifles and pulse rifles are challenging to use. We inteded for the game to be challenging, and as such all auto rifles will have reduced impact. This way, the player deals less damage and is more requently exposed to enemy fire, which is what we planned for.
We noted how players were able to use strategy to defeat Atheon. While, we appreciated the community's resourcefulness, we were disturbed by the number of players enjoying themsevles in a way we didn't intend for. We've decided to patch out Atheon's teleporting of the furthest three players. Also, we've removed Queen's Wrath armor giving Ascendant Materials, to prevent players from succeeding too rapidly. Moreover, we're planning to remove cover from the game, as it is providing players the ability to cheese by avoiding enemy fire. Therefore, all the fun that takes place ingame will be what we had designed for.
The feature of players losing heavy ammo upon death and cutscene entry is working as intended to promote challenging and unique gameplay with limited or no heavy weapon use.
Queens Wrath will not be returning, but there will be another Iron Banner coming soon, this time with level advantages drastically reduced to ensure Level 20's using Common tier weapons are not outcompeted by their level 32, exotic-wielding counterparts. Crucible is supposed to be balanced, and Iron Banner will reflect that. Alongside this, all weapons on sale for the event will be modeled off prior ones for consistency.
Bungie's servers are functional and working as intended. Any lag issues are the fault of the player's internet connection. We advise improving your internet service for improved gameplay performance.
We decided to remove the Devil's Lair and Winter's Run strikes, due to them being far too easy for Black Hammer users. There is a massive amount of content already in place thanks to our massive budget, and as such, this will hardly be felt. Strike playlists will remain with four varied and diverse, yet consistent strikes to run.

This is funny and accurate, but it makes me sad. If Bungie were God is be an atheist.
-
-
If you don't like the game, why are you here? Ask yourself that, and then realize how pitiful you really are.
-
It is funny until you realize how true it probably is.

Edited by The Big Doogan: 1/26/2015 3:08:07 AMI'm surprised Bungie hasn't made you the CEO yet. I'm sure they're on their way to your house now to personally invite you to be their new Deej

Dude this is stupid and an insult to the game
-
Lol. Bump.

Edited by ReaperBlack_201: 1/27/2015 8:28:30 AM"Queens Wrath will not be returning, but there will be another Iron Banner coming soon, " and it's like a joke cause i am sure they will do same as written. :((

I didn't stop laughing. Thanks.
-
Wow.... It's scary how accurate this actually sounds.
-
Haha, nice twist on the original post from obi... You truly entertained, thanks mate!
-
Love it
-
Its confirmed they are going to add more vault space in a future update. Also you should be punished by loosing ammo when you die otherwise nobody would care.
-
I'm sure the increased vault space will come soon, of course you'll have to buy HoW to get that extra space I bet ;D
-
You sir, are a politician to fear.
-
-
Lol I would say add #satire, except Bungie would probably do this
-
You forgot to add: "We hear you loud and clear, and therefore me and a couple other associates have come to the conclusion, gjallarhorn has been removed from xur's loot table. Good luck trying to get one now..."
-
This is crying. The other posts were legitimaate feedback.
-
The fact you invested what seems to be a substantial amount of time in this is pretty sad.... If the game sucks, quit and play a different game.
-
continue with this and it will be reported as spam just like the other one was. for it is.
-
They said they were addressing vault space. I stopped reading your post after that.
-
You forgot to include that Forge, Theater, Custom Games, and file shares failed to win an in-house vote for inclusion into the game, because people don't like user creation features at all. An in-house study showed that people only like games like Minecraft, because it has pretty colors and lets you farm, and nobody wants Forge, Theater, Custom Games, because everyone hated Reach's Bloom and Armor Lock, so because of that Firefight was removed as well.

Still can't play Destiny without downloading the same 76.87 MB download EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. (Wouldn't be a problem if I didn't get stung by WASP every attempt.

This was beauty in and of itself.
