Sure, you increased your chances but it's more likely you just wasted a bunch of money, or time in Destiny's case. This is my go-to response for people whining along the lines of "did 20 billion nightfalls and raids and I still don't have (insert exotic, probably ghorn, here)!". Why not just play the game and have fun. You remember playing a game is supposed to be fun, right? If you happen to get a good drop in the process, huzzah . If you're not having fun playing the game, why are you still invested enough to cry about it in the forums? Move on to something else you actually enjoy. I still enjoy playing Destiny with friends about every-other-day. We don't ever get angry or frustrated and I think that's because we don't care much about grinding for good drops, we just play the game and have a good time. The only time it makes sense to "grind" for anything in Destiny is when there's a guaranteed reward to get out of it, like Iron Banner.
