Could you just have casual sex with someone?
Could you have sex with someone without having emotions for them? I don't think I could. I feel as if sex is an emotional thing and should be shared with someone you care about but that's just me. What about you?

28 RepliesI have in the past. But eventually found it to be fun, but a bit.... hollow. Sure, when the sex was great, it was great sex. But then I discovered that I also enjoy intimacy, discovery, learning about the person, and so on. Just a casual, no-strings, you don't need to know my real name do you, sex was just physical and was missing all of the other aspects of mutual intimacy that can make great sex into amazingly great sex. It sure was fun while it lasted, but I don't find myself missing it. Especially when I discovered just how rewarding each of those other aspects are when you can find a partner who is willing and eager to share those additional aspects of themselves with you.

I'm in the same boat as you. These days, sex is glamorized and treated like a childish game. I've gotten casual head and that has even had me feeling guilty and upset with myself because I didn't have feelings for any of the women. My ex and I had unreal sex, she was always bragging to her friends about it. But we had such a deep emotional bond and connection that it was impossible to have anything but amazing sex. I know it's not ideal in today's society, but wait until you have someone you connect with on every level, not just physical. It'll be amazing.
