Changes Destiny NEEDS, Pronto!

Here I will be listing some changes I'd personally like to see happen to the game, most of which I'm sure will be greatly agreed with amongst the community. Feel free to comment your thoughts, even stating which changes you agree/disagree with, more suggestions or even feedback in general as commenting will keep the post alive, which would ultimately help Bungie to see this and take these suggestions into consideration. Glimmer Capacity Somewhere along the line, I heard that Bungie was going to raise the Glimmer Cap, but it's yet to happen. With there now being purchasable upgrades from Xûr nearing 10K a pop, I would personally like the cap raised to somewhere between 30-50K. Glimmer Yield The amount would change if the cap was raised (mentioned above), but with how things are currently, I wouldn't mind seeing the Lv26 Strike Playlist rewarding players further with 500 Glimmer per strike, plus 1000 for the Weekly Heroic and 2500 for the Nightfall, even 250 for a Daily Mission. Old Raid Armour Due to this armour being rendered useless, I personally no longer use it whatsoever, although I prefer it's look and so forth. Perhaps, as an example, dismantling some Krota's End Raid Gloves could provide the player with a Dark Below Glove Upgrade, which can only be used on any Vault of Glass Gauntlets, raising their light level to 36. Think of it like how we can now upgrade exotic weapons through Xûr with an exotic shard. This way, you HAVE to get the new Raid Gear, but then you can bring old Raid Gear up to scratch if you choose so (and of course the Ascendant Shard upgrades would now require Radiant Shards instead and so on). Crucible/Vanguard Marks I would much rather the marks be universal to your account, as is glimmer, meaning marks I earn on one character will be able to be used on my other characters. In turn, I'd also like the cap to be raised from 200 to either 350 or 500 for each. Purchasable Weapons This is a classic scheme which I've loved from other RPG/MMORPG games. Why not make the weapons have randomised damage types and perks upon purchase? For example, if I purchase a Do Gooder Auto Rifle, the one I get would have a random damage type (Arc, Void, Solar, Kinetic) and random perks (Ranging anywhere from the bonus Hip Fire accuracy perk to the Field Scout perk). I mean, this way we could save up our marks to purchase another weapon we've purchased prior, this time in the hopes of getting one with a better damage type and perks. This would be incredible, as currently all purchasable weapons come with possible the worst perks attainable, and the only thing I find myself spending my marks on anymore is upgrade materials such as Relic Iron. Vault of Glass Difficulty I'm a mere 16 Radiant Shards away from being level 32 (the new max level), although the Vault of Glass is still at level 30 and only yields the old 300 attack exotic weapons and Raid Gear that can only get you to level 30. Perhaps you could bring out an extra difficulty for this raid, requiring you to be level 32 to play, although this raid can now reward you with Radiant Shards/Energy, 331 damage exotic weapons and Raid Gear that requires Radiant Shards instead of Ascendant Shards to upgrade that will yield 36 light when maxed. Easier Vault Access I'm not trying to pick on the game, but the loading times are horrendous. It takes quite some time to land at the tower, put weapons in the vault, change character, land at the tower and pick up my weapons. I myself want to pump out raids in quick succession with my team, although in between each one it can take anywhere between five-ten minutes to gear up due to how long the loading screens last when travelling to the tower. Perhaps, when in orbit, we can access the destination menu and in one of the corners is the option to access your vault. This way, after a raid or whatever it may be, I can orbit, put away my weapons, switch character and then grab them in one-two minutes instead of five-ten, it just seems like an unnecessary hassle needing to land at the tower, especially with how long it takes. Vault Upgrades We may now buy upgrades for our exotic weapons from Xûr to improve them, which is a great feature. There are far more weapons being added to the game through the Dark Below DLC in turn. I'm now finding myself having to make two trips to transfer weapons between characters as my vault is filled with my exotic weapons collection. There's nowhere near enough space. I believe it would be a great addition to the game if Xûr would sell a Vault Upgrade schematic. After making a one-time-purchase, you open your vault and see the schematic option somewhere on the screen. You may then provide the items required (example, an exotic shard and 5000 glimmer) to double the bank space you have for each column. This, would truly please the players. Future Raid Changes This is something I've recently wanted, and here is why. Roughly 11 hours after the weekly reset, when we could undergo the Crota's End Raid again for loot, you released a hot fix. You now made it so the Raid Helmets are obtainable when killing Crota on normal (Lv30 Difficulty). That, is magnificent. What angered me? Your most dedicated players, waited until 8pm (my time) so they could go through this raid as soon as possible for the chance at new loot, none of which would've received the helmet. Then, 11 hours later, you made the Helmet obtainable from Crota. Any player who was dedicated and eager enough to Raid at reset, missed out on the possibility of getting helmets, whereas half-assed players, players who were unavailable or players who simply waited were better off. It's almost as if you rewarded those who weren't nerdy dedicated Guardians. You didn't even decide "that's unfair" and reset the loot for anyone who'd already done it so we could have a shot at a helmet. We were simply less fortunate and have to wait a full week for a chance at what the lazy/busy gamers had a shot at because we played the Raid at reset (which I'm assuming most players did). I know you won't compensate us, but from now on, can you please make changes either right before or right on time with the week reset, to avoid this happening again. Xûr's Purchasable Items Instead of Xûr outright selling specific exotic items at random which results in almost every player I come across owning them, could he just sell exotic engrams instead? Think about it, if Xûr only sold engrams, it still randomises what you'll get, rather than every player owning an Ice Breaker after Xûr arrives. That way, it comes down to luck. You can cash in on an engram with the hope of getting an exotic you're after. This, in my opinion, would be far better. Loot in General Probably my strongest point to be made in this entire post, so I guess in a way I've saved best for last, hopefully you aren't sick of reading by now as I'd love for this to be heard. During the lead up to Destiny's launch, you explained how you (Bungie) didn't want to incorporate a trading system for players to swap weapons and such, because you wanted each player to earn their exotics and have a story to be told behind each one, like a trophy. This concept sounded great, until it flew out the window. People get these exotics from killing low level enemies repeatedly in free roam or doing poorly in general. I've seen a player place bottom of the leaderboard in PVP with a 0.3KD get an exotic weapon as a reward. What's his story? "I was AFK making food, came back at the end of a game, got two kills, placed worst and got it as a reward". Or how about the people who join at the end of a Lv26 strike when the boss only has a third of it's health left? They got an exotic item/legendary engram yet those who stayed from the start and got 200+ kills got a Blue Engram. Hell, even players who join at the start and make their character spin in circles so they aren't kicked for inactivity? They finish the strike with literally zero kills and are rewarded the exotic weapon called the Thunderlord - and yes, I was in the game that this took place! There is NO story to be told behind our exotics. I mean 80% of the exotics owned would all have the same story, which would be "I bought it from Xûr".. Personally, here's the change I propose: enemies under level 20 CANNOT drop Legendary Engrams. The chance of enemies dropping each tier of engram increases based upon higher difficulty/level, having modifiers on, the amount of modifiers and the activity (Raid, Nightfall, Weekly Heroic, Strike Playlist, etc). Only the top half placing players on each team at the end of a PVP match have the possibility of legendary engrams/items and exotic items, which again, the chance increases based on your total score and perhaps even your KD ratio at the end of a game. This way, we would all have great stories to tell about our cherished exotics, as you intended in the first place. I think EVERYONE can agree with this. Yes, everyone. Quite the novel to read, I know, but a massive round of applause for those of you who made it to the end and gave feedback, it's greatly appreciated!
