I finally figured it out. Destiny has a story that is not told through the campaign (obv) instead, the story is exactly what we are playing. Every mission, bounty, raid, strike, etc IS the story. The story is hidden in plain sight, "random" dialogs from vendors, little hints thrown in our faces to lead us into an investigation that will finally decrypt the true story. The repetitiveness has a purpose, the lack of explanation for each mission has a purpose. We don't even know why we're fighting really... or what we are fighting for exactly. I will begin to investigate just because I have hopes that this game actually has a promising and adventureful lore. I suggest you others do the same, look deep into the game (Every aspect and situation) you'll be surprised with what you will find.
