Seriously, 90% of the people who say it is picked it up once, didn't like it, and went back to their other guns.
You can't look at this thing and expect a high RoF, it's just not meant to work like that. It's meant to be a gun that takes well placed shots, not spray into a crowd of Thrall.
It's fine if you don't like using it, not everyone likes the pure patient sniper style, but don't just run around saying how horrible it is.
EDIT: Just to reiterate
YOU NOT LIKING IT/=/IT BEING BAD
Why do people think there has to be a "worst gun" in the first place
People like different things

those who say it's the worst exotic hasn't used the super good advice NLB is good for pvp but it's like the ice breaker the perks on it doesn't help it at all so leveling it up is disappointing they should stop putting mulligan on snipers even clown cartridge is better than mulligan if you look closely when aiming with NLB when your over a headshot the sight gets a little red dot on it basically telling you to fire the perk for extra damage does work but it still won't kill someone with the 2nd bullet in pvp unless you hit the head again
-
Okay - let's take a new perspective - everything else is better.
-
I bought NLB. Loving it. But it's still terrible. -You can't put a different sight on it. -Even with CQB ballistics, it kicks like a mule on steroids trained in karate. -Reserve ammo is bugged and will randomly go from 18 to 6 for no reason. -RoF is terrible. -No target penetration. -Mulligan is literally the worst possible perk this gun could have. -You still pull the bolt with no bullets left in the gun. --Reloading only takes slightly l9nger than the bolt, too, so theoretically reloading after each shot could be faster wiyh the right perks on your class/armor.
-
It's not bad just worse than others
-
It's a pvp beast
-
No ty rather use suros or thorn for the exo spot.
-
I like the gun. I can use it just fine. Just wish the gun worked as intended. Although I intend to do some advanced testing with it since I have 2 of them one with and one without its main perk to get down to the decimal on the damage difference.

Edited by Autumn Hunter: 1/25/2015 11:44:38 AMWell I upgraded it to the last perk but left out the last three damage upgrades. I've used it a fair bit too in PVE and PVP but I really have to say it sucks, and if you can't see it then you must be blind or dumb. It takes about four or five seconds to fire on bullet but if you miss, tough, reload and aim better next time. If you do land a hit then it's great, but only if it's a headshot. You can only carry twelve bullets for it and you run out quick. I like it because it's unique but it's impractical to use in almost every situation, it really needs a buff, at least carry more ammo in reserve.
-
nlb is like any exotic... situational... ppl who say its bad just arnt using in the right situation
-
Why would you ever use no land beyond when you could use a hand cannon or scout rifle that does everything it does and more. The only person I can see using it is someone who just stands in the back and stationary snipes the whole game. Fun
-
Wait... So what's the worst exotic then?
-
But it sucks..
Made you look
-
Just dont use it in situations where you need a regular gun like in the raids. Use it in patrol or PvE to your hearts content
-
It's very fun to use. It doesn't fit my playstyle very well but I do like playing with it, it's very satisfying to get a kill with this gun for some reason. Maybe because it's harder to us? I don't know but for some reason it's the most satisfying feeling ever to get a one shot out of NLB
-
Ok so a regular sniper can actually hit shit from a distance while the nlb has to get lucky and deal with the trash sights and crap bolt action. Making the nlb completely inferior to literally any sniper. The only reason the UR is better is because it has way farther range then other shotguns and its a shot gun. I know you didn't mention it but i see allot of comments that say its shit. If they make it have a huge rof with a long distance scope it would be amazing and actually fit the name of the gun.
-
I agree; just because someone dislikes No Land Beyond, doesn't mean that it is a bad weapon. The counterargument, however, would be: just because you like No Land Beyond, doesn't make it good. Objectively speaking, there can be a "worst gun." No Land Beyond has very few redeeming qualities that make up for its objective weaknesses -- a glitch being its only mitigating factor.
-
Worst sniper out of ALL legendary and exotics I have 2 I still think its SO bad its so bad actually that's what makes it endearing
-
I think you meant =/=
-
I love my nlb for pvp I rec with it
-
No. Most everyone agrees it's the worst exotic gun and for good reason. Why are defending it? Did you design it or something?
-
I agree to a certain point about personal preference over perks, but you have to understand that when the vast mayority who own the gun say its bad, its probably for a reason. For instance, I don't have g-horn, I do own Dragon's Breath, and I really like it, however there are some (mostly g-horn elitest) say its no good... to put it lightly. And, yes, I know that g-horn's perks are top notch, but since I don't have it, Dragon's Breath is my go to heavy weapon. That doesn't stop me from enjoying weapons that others disagree with me for being good or bad.
-
NLB is the best weapon man, but just a few can do well, requires skills
-
While I whole heartedly agree with the point op brings up about relative worth, I don't think it makes the argument any stronger to tell others what they should or shouldn't value... In fact it seems to completely undermine the entire idea of conditional value. All that being said, NLB appears to be the least popular exotic for specific reasons. Get gud with it and develop a style unique to yourself. Be like Piccolo and weigh yourself down while you fight. Then when you take off your armor you can reap the rewards of your hard work.
-
Worst exotic. 4th horseman. Please tell me a more useless gun. .-.
-
What would you say is the worst exotic then

Edited by Player 2: 1/24/2015 7:21:33 PMYeah after trying it out in crucible I can say it's the only sniper I've ever actually liked using in crucible but I hate that bolt action -.-
