Possibly Insane Theory on the Traveler and the Darkness

Here's a long theory that may make me insane but somehow makes sense. Keep reading if you like lengthy explanations that tie everything together. WARNING: MAJOR SPOILER ALERT. IF YOU WANT TO FIND AND READ THE GRIMOIRE CARDS ON YOUR OWN, DONT READ ANYMORE!!!!! facts:
(The headings are the names of grimoire cards and the sub-points are the evidence gathered from the respective grimoire card) • Legend: The Black Garden o traveler made black garden o black garden is separate from conventional time/space (according to your ghost) o black garden is a place of light/life o vex took over black garden o black garden gave Pujari doubt about the nature of the traveler/darkness • The Black Garden o wasn't actually the heart of Vex power o black garden is connected to darkness and traveler o black garden is connected to Vault of Glass • Ghost Fragment: The Traveler o 17,999,999,999,999,538 F of energy is harnessed by the traveler o Traveler has a lot of dread and doubt and afraid of thought (very questioning of past decisions) o Humanity is the only place the traveler didn’t continue on from • Ghost Fragment: The Traveler 2 o Traveler ran to (presumably) Mars to escape the darkness (location of the black garden) o implies the traveler is being punished • Ghost Fragment: Ghosts o There was a system of 6 stars orbiting a larger blue giant o said system had countless planets that were used to build "a topologically creative enclosure" o because this is a ghost speaking, the vault of glass isn't a possibility o therefore, the black garden is made up of countless planets and 7 stars o "powers in charge" refers to the traveler and the darkness  They are the main factions in both the game and this theory o the Black Garden can live in "the cold between galaxies" therefore is completely self-sufficient and is unaffected by entropy • Ghost Fragment: Darkness 3 o Tolland the Shattered makes a reference to 3 queens that rule separate kingdoms and have different mindsets o These three factions represent three different outcomes of the universe o queen 1 makes a massive army to conquer o queen 2 makes a book of laws to rule justly o queen 3 makes a tower to allow her people to see the stars
Conjecture: The Traveler and The Builder (this is the name I have given to The Darkness for the purpose of this argument) are both fundamentally good. Going back to the entry in Tolland the Shattered's journal, we can see that the universe is fundamentally divided under the jurisdiction of three powers, The Traveler, The Builder, and entropy. The queen who amassed an army in Tolland’s journal is entropy (being an enemy to all the other kingdoms and having no particular goal other than to dominate). The queen who made the great book of laws is most likely The Traveler (creating reforms in ideology and scientific research, i.e. humanity's rise to power). Finally, the queen who built a large tower for her people to see the stars is possibly a reference to this “Builder” (multiple civilizations are affected by it and they all “reach the stars”). Using this reasoning, we can conclude that both The Traveler and this “Builder” are working towards an end to entropy and preserve life. This is, obviously an assumption, but it makes sense. Why else would two seemingly omnipotent beings get involved in the affairs of 5 (6 including the awoken) different species? The most obvious methods to preserve life are referenced in the Ghost Fragment: Ghosts Grimoire card. It talks of a “topologically creative enclosure, a twisting of space and time sealed behind doors that admit only those who know the magic words.” There are two possibilities for what this is referring to. One is the Vault of Glass. This one seems unlikely because the speaker talks of destruction of 7 stars and countless planets by “The powers in charge”. It is impossible that it is referring to the Vex because they are under the domain and empowered by the “Builder” (the Darkness). It is also impossible for the Vex to be the Builder (the Darkness) because they wouldn’t both empower and fight other species (namely the cabal). With that idea disproved, there is only one other option; the Black Garden. It even matches the description in the Legend: The Black Garden Grimoire card. It is a place of life, self-sustaining and separate from conventional time. We also know the Traveler made the Black Garden on “the Iron World” (assumed to be Mars) and also fled to a resting place prior to being discovered by humanity (only possible known place is, again, Mars). “That’s not possible, no one could make all of that alone” I can almost hear you thinking. However, the Traveler had access to massive amounts of energy, being made of electroweak particles. For prospective, the energy to sustain these types of particles in a useful matter is equivalent to about 18,000,000,000,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit (18 quadrillion for those who don’t like to count decimal places). With that kind of energy at a being’s disposal, almost nothing is impossible. The Traveler made the Black Garden as a place of life, separate from conventional time and space. However to achieve this goal of life preservation, he had to destroy 7 stars and countless planets. Ghost Fragment: Ghosts seems to imply the existence of life in said star system, meaning many were killed in the incident. Based on this, the Traveler would have a mindset of “It’s impossible to save everything. Why not save one thing so there is still life?” This is an attractive idea because it guarantees survival of life, but destroys diversity. On the other hand, the Builder would seeming have the mindset of “We can work this out together. Why do we need to kill to save?” This is backed by the fact that the life on the huge star system could have very well included the Hive, Fallen, Cabal, and even Vex. This would both explain the nature of the Black Garden as well as give motivation to the genocidal campaign waged by the Builder (the Darkness) against Humanity and the Traveler. Please comment any issues you have with this, along with any improvements/ideas/thoughts relating to this theory. Edit: This seems to still fall in line with ttk. I'm excited to see what's gonna come up in rise of iron

It's a good theory in my opinion and it's backed by interpretation via the Grimmoire Cards. I feel once we know more about the Stranger's role and the faction she represents, we will have a better picture of what's going on... Per her words, verbatim: "No, I was not forged in Light." > "A side should always be chosen, even if it's the wrong side." > "...once you've ripped out the heart of the Black Garden, only then will your Traveler begin to heal."

    • Well. The Darkness (in my eyes) is a bi product of the Light. My idea is that the Traveler actually has advanced other races, (Fallen, Cabal, Vex, and the hive were a failure.) Plus, this is where darkness comes in. The light has to be balanced. What better way to balance light (with darkness)

The fact that The G-Horn is made of melted down armour of guardians that died means that yes, it is a dark weapon
The G-Horn was made to honor the fallen. • I liked the theory of the heretics. The traveler itself is responsible for the collapse. It knew that the darkness was coming so it used all the races to fight a proxy war to preserve its own existence.
