Exotics.
I have got about 75 hours game time in my lvl 31 warlock, the only exotic weapon I have is the thorn which I got from a bounty, and last week I bought the obsidian mind helmet, I'm always seeing threads about people who have 3 gallyhorns and all but one exotic, how many hours will it take to get even a few more exotics?!?!?!

I just got plan c from a roc strike, i was pretty happy about that! Keep trying and you'll get more eventually

It will take some time and dedication to get many exotics. Keep doing night fall and raid and hopefully u get can get more exotics!

Xûr'a name has three letters, and three points on the accent mark above û. 3+3=6, and 6 is the number of exotic bounties there are, and the sixth (from right to left) is the thorn bounty. Thorn is a hand cannon, and is very often compared to the last word. The last word in the sentence, "ok, it's charged; grab the eye" (-second to last mission, ghost) is eye! There is an eye, and three corners in a triangle with an eye in the center. Also, destiny is now worth $1, and there is a triangle with an eye on it in the dollar bill! XÛR IS ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED

Hey bro, i got my first exotic in a Legendary Engram at the level 24. I think i'd don't play more than 20hours at this time so.. Yea.. Totally random Dude, Have 5 or 6 Exotics now and i do not reach the 100Hours of gameplay. ( bad ENG im FR )

didnt get any through the first 2 months of playing, then i got invective through a bounty. Ive since dismantled it, but since then i have gotten the vex, patience and time, icebreaker, suros, plan c, bad juju, dragons breath, and universal remote. . Ice breaker and dragons breath are the only ones that i bought. Plan C dropped in an ROC strike, universal remote dropped in crucible (though i sharded it because who needs a primary shotty?), Suros was from night fall, vex from hard vog obviously, and patience in time from the first chest in CE (RIP). I also currently have the bounty for thorn as well. Just hang in there, do the nightfalls and raids and they will come!

Rarely but more common - VOG chest after Templar - VOG norm/hard beating Atheon - CE killing Deathsinger - CE norm/hard beating Crota - Weekly Nightfall - Exotic Bounties (Gauranteed) Rarely but least possible - ROC strikes (I received one after running about 100 total) - Weekly Heroic - Crucible

Just do the weekly heroic strike with as many characters as you can each week and buy more stuff from xur when he shows up.

Hey man, I got my Thorn and Armamentarium first too. You'll have to have a good luck to start getting the good stuff. You'll get there. Thorn was crap when I first got it (traded it for rare after month of playing with it), but with buffs it's a good gun now.

Almost every Exotic has been sold. That's where the majority of people got their's from. The rest just got lucky and pulled them from activity completions or from Engrams. My only advice to you would be to continue playing. Your collection will build over time. How much time remains to be seen.

At least you have thorn, I would trade you 3 of my exotics for just that one.

I've had exactly one exotic drop during my entire play time. Universal Remote in a Roc strike. Everything else was bounty stuff or bought from Xur.

1 ReplyEdited by ScribeTheMad: 1/22/2015 4:10:46 AMhonestly Xur is the fastest way to get exotic stuff, you just need the coins, which you can get from normal gameplay but but not really in high numbers. If you really want to start getting exotics, you need to start doing the weekly heroic on 30 on as many characters as you can every week. Do it on 3 and you get 27 coins plus any that drop from engrams. it's tedious, not going to lie, especially leveling and gearing the other characters, but its worth it when Xur has something good. That's what a lot of people do to have so many, they just buy what he has each week (and then get lucky for stuff he can't sell) Don't pass up special/heavy weapons without looking them up or asking around, there are plenty that make it worth using a legendary primary. Also, Thorn is awesome
