Favorite tricks in the Crucible
What are your favorite tips, tricks, and strategies in the Crucible? Maybe a special location on a map where you have an advantageous view, or a gun load out that is your favorite, or even your favorite time to pull out your super? One of my favorites is to get heavy ammo with my Truth, and then try and bum rush the other heavy ammo location to try and get extra heavy ammo, but leave it lying there for a later attack advantage.

Sneak up on people invisibly and piss them off with a shotgun.

Crouching around a corner while being chased to juke the enemy, then shotgun

Rush enemy screaming. Then get my brain matter all over them.

1 ReplyEdited by Draoguh: 1/21/2015 5:01:54 PMWhen the first Heavy Ammo crate drops, stand about a crate away from it, and allow another teammate to activate it. Leave your portion of Heavy Ammo sitting there until the NEXT drop. Now, when you hear the second callout for HA, quickly run and grab your HA from the previous drop, and then rush towards the opposite HA drop location. You'll most likely see the other team sitting there like ducks, waiting for their HA...put them out of their misery; take their Heavy Ammo.

On rusted lands, there is a seam on a pipe above B you can stand on, near the A side. I can usually take out all enemies on B from there because nobody expects me to be there.

Just out gunning people with the last word and popping Titan bubbles, killing the entire enemy team on their heavy ammo, and killing a group of people trying to capture a flag or camping in a room with my nova bomb

When i have my super charged and the the heavy ammo spawns i wait around till it spawns but i dont pick it up so it sits there then i try n rush to the point with enemies and use my super on them. If i die oh well but if i kill them i get their heavy and i have the other in reserve

SUROS ADS, while 1v1-ing somebody, I crouch halfway through. They normally don't realize I've done this so they miss a few shots. I usually get the kill.

3 RepliesMy team separates to get the heavies, then we waste the heavies as a safety precaution and ensure the opposing team can't have a come back because of heavy ammo support. It's a strategy that works for us. We don't need heavy ammo to win, and seeing how majority of people are dependent on heavy ammo to win it works in our favor.

1 ReplyUse my vortex grenade when someone is attacking with a shotgun but i use it right in front of me so when he gets close he dies too . Or use it as a cover so the enemies can't see me clearly. Gives me time to take cover or shoot them. It surprisingly works

2 RepliesStep one: Get a Legendary Sniper drop in either and engram or a nightfall drop. Step two: Make sure the name of the gun reads, LDR 5001. Step three: make sure the perks of this weapon are either, final round and/or armor-piercing rounds. Step four: Level this bad boy up. Step five: Go into a long range crucible map. Step six: get kills with all but one shot in the mag, leave that shot. Step seven: shoot a guardians foot (enemy) Step eight: Jizz in your pants bc you just one shot an enemy in the damn foot!

1 ReplyFind ANY rocket launcher with 'grenades and horseshoes' perk - best if it doesn't have tracking. Grab heavy, anticipate which door the enemy lead members (with their delicious heavy full) will come through. Wait till door cracks open in the slightest - fire rocket immediately jump behind cover (enemy rocket surely incoming) repeat, go collect enemy heavy drops. 60% of the time, works every time......

5 RepliesI haven't seen anyone do my trick and after going 55 - 0 a few minutes ago I think I'll level the plains and share it...... Run towards an enemy, slide, shoot shotgun.

I don't have any tricks, just watch the radar and try to guess where they'll come from. But i've always been wondering about shotgun users, why they keep sliding in front of me? I still get them anyways... is there something i'm missing?

3 RepliesThorn, throwing knife with burn. And a sniper with armor piercing. Hit once, let the dot tick. Snipe through walls. My other favorite is on blade dancer, set it to backstab, hungering blade and blink. Blink behind to ohko+full health. Takes a bit to get use to though.
