I am making this post in the hopes that somebody will consider this.
The loot system is seriously ... unsatisfying. Whenever I finish a strike or a match does not leave me with anything. Yay...! Finished a strike.
In all seriousness: the way I understand the loot system is it is completely rng. So no matter what you do in the game, it has no impact on what your rewards will be. Though a random element in a loot system is great (chances of getting awesome items) having it all rng based is not rewarding to the player... at all.
For example: If you finish the crucible with 30 kills 0 deaths, you have a chance of getting no rewards.
If i sit and do nothing in a strike i get a chance at getting some good rewards as well.
I'm sure whoever reads this can think of other examples.
What i am proposing is not a scrap to the whole system, but an update:
For crucible the mvp is guaranteed the normal rng while for the rest of the players it remains a chance like it is currently. ( which is pretty generous to most players)
For strikes i don't really have too much of an issue. A time-out for people afk would be nice though.
For raids, the one issue im having is the final reward. I think it's fair to be random throughout but the completion reward should be somewhat satisfactory. I personally have gotten 2 radiant shards from finishing CE 3 weeks in a row now. At least for the completion the loot set should be restricted to raid gear/weapons +ship or asc materials or random exotic rather than getting just a ship or just ascendant materials.
On another note personally i feel the exotic drop rate has been reduced for nightfalls and the chances for dlc legendaries increased. Lots of vanguard weapons. Can we reduce the chance of vanguard weapons in the nightfall for legendaries not affiliated with any faction?
Please keep this loot system 'upgrade' in mind for next week.
