While there are complaints such as one hit kills with stabs or lunging great distances or damage resistance, these things are actually balanced because of the melee range restriction and the fact that a super that's a 2 hit kill is useless. A complaint that is also often seen however is the long duration and how someone can go across the map killing people. What I believe this stems from is people using the perk Encore, which extends Arc Blade's duration upon kill. If a player is using Stalker or Hungering Blade it will be very hard for them to consistently get more than 3 kills per super. What could easily be done is have it so that Encore only extends the duration when killing enemies with Showstopper/Razor's Edge/an attack while invisible from Vanish. Since these abilities are situational, the extension in duration will not be as much and won't allow players to run across the map killing people as players can now do (with Encore). This will hardly affect PvE since Razor's Edge and Showstopper are the optimal attacks for wave clearing which is pretty much the only use for Arc Blade in PvE. This would also make Vanish more valuable in PvP where invisibility kinda sucks at the moment since kills while invisible would extend the duration, encouraging some people to take on a more stealth-based route during Arc Blade. Thoughts, suggestions? I'm open to see fi there's a better way to solve this issue. The bitching is massive.
