Hunters in Need of a serious PVE Buff

Over the past 2 weeks whilst no lifeing Destiny on my Christmas break from school (no i'm not a Christmas noob, I got Destiny a week after it came out) I've been doing a lot of difficult missions with my friends. Now, whilst the Hunter is the fastest class speed wise, it is also the weekest with the slowest recovery time. To make up for this they do have very good supers and can deal a LARGE amount of damage in a short amount of time. But i have found especially on VoG and the DLC missions (not CE in particular) that they die very, very easy in PVE. I think this is a big issue at the moment especially for VoG. I find myself dying quite easily compared to other classes (which is granted due to the way the different classes are stacked) but what does speed do in raids or high level missions? Nothing! The unique speed that is on the Hunters sublcasses does not count for anything in high level missions. You die ridiculously fast, and there is nothing you can do about it. I find myself trying to carry VoG Hard raids because the other people don't know how to do anything but there is only so much I can do. If i try to fight the minions of darkness i die, if I run, we end up losing because the vex sacrifice themselves or other things. Now I'm not saying that they should get this huge buff that makes them like a titan, or makes them recover super fast. But I think something should be done about this issue. Whilst it's obvious that getting hit by atheons plasma or whatever it is should do a lot of damage, I think something can be done to compensate for the speed advantages Hunters have to compensate for how easy it is to die as one. Hunters speed should allow them to dodge and outrun maybe 20-30 percent of enemy fire. When a Hunter is springing around and moving it would be a very simple and logical thing that the vex would miss more of their shots on my because I am moving too fast for them to track. Now something like this is doubtful to actually happen but im curious what other people think about this feature. TL;DR: Hunters should be able to "dodge" enemy fire due to their agility and speed.

  • As a hunter I would prefer if my supers generated more orbs and I had better grenades, but that's about it. Scout rifles and Sniper rifles plus chain of woe etc make for an excellent PVE build as a gunslinger. Bladedancer is fairly poor for the most part in PVE but it's fun to use and has useful abilities, particularly invisibility and speed. Just toy around with your weapons and perks.

    • I seriously considered leveling my hunter to 32 first just out of pure need for survival. I can't imagine trying to do 33 missions with a 31 Hunter , nor do I want to.

Great advantage in Gorgon vog part and swarm in Croats end With bladedancer subclass. Us warlocks and titans have to do it the hard way by avoiding being seen by gorgons by hiding and fighting everything that comes at us in Croat raid
