        TLDR; "If you are equal to or greater than the level of your enemy, you will do ~47% more damage than if you were one level below your enemy, and ~81% more damage than if you were 2 levels lower. A level 28 guardian facing a level 30 enemy will do just 55% of the damage that a level 30 guardian would do against the same enemy." How did you go from saying that 2 levels under an enemy is an 81% penalty to a 55% penalty. Overly complex thread is overly complex. Excess data showing repetitive bs. Why do we give a -blam!- in comparing what a weapon is doing at 257 vs 300? Max that shit out and don't look back. NOBODY CARES. Also I don't trust your Intellect experiments for shit, I'm sorry. It's been tested in lots of other threads as well that Inverse Shadow perks suffer greatly from diminishing returns yet you say the opposite. I'm done in here.

        • I wonder how much damage is dealt when comparing two weapons say... A scout with low impact, higher fire rate VS a scout with higher impact and lower fire rate compares over a duration of time... If that makes sense?

        • Maxed Badger ccl on red bar knight will do 1222, on yellow bar knights will do 550. The VOC maxed 890 on red bar knights, yellow knights 440.

          • Can you record the effects of range on damage? It seems to drop off a lot at 2/3 max range for a weapon, especially for hand cannons and scout rifles.

                • I applaud you for the work you have done which would be great help in encouraging people to replace their current 300 attack weapons. Also your tests show that the badger CCL seems like a good VoC replacement and I am now likely to pick one up from the vendor. Will take a look at the other stats first before finally deciding whether to buy it or not. Do you or anyone else know how exactly hive disruptor works and how much of a difference it makes?

                  • Do lvl 32 guardians take less damage from enemies that are lower than 32. I.e a lvl 28 fallen will deal less damage than a lvl 30 fallen

                    • Please explain this then. Previously on the nexus void burn nightfall at lvl 30 with a 300 Praedyths Revenge you could kill a lvl 28 axis minotaur in 3 shots. By your logic when the nightfall raises to 30 it shouldn't be any different. A lvl 30 axis minotaur now takes 7 sniper shots to down...

                          Can you do some calculations on the Warlock helmet the " Obsidian Mind" and it's perks? I used my nova bomb the other day, got 8 orbs, and my super fully charged again after it landed. This was on the first mission on the moon, on level 9. I don't remember the name off the top of my head, but would like to see much more definitive results on it, as well as results on something other than a Hunter, which I would speculate is the least favorite of my personal characters. I think this research, and yes I still believe it's both research and true science, is awesome and I'm very happy someone like you, far more educated than myself, has taken the time to do this. Thank you. *Edit: I forgot to post the exact location this happened, although you probably already know what it is. It happened right after walking the hive, and right in the doorway.

                        • Captainkev91 great work. I know you didn't pull data with critical and you're saying they are base damage + 2x base damage. I thought I read different class weapons have different equations for critical. Hand canons being the least followed by scouts and only auto rifles do a full base damage + 2x base damage. Anyone else under this impression?

                        • Brilliant stuff. Thank you so much for your time and patience with this. I can point fellow raiders at this who tell me I'm going to get booted for not using my VOC or fatebringer when id rather use my Badger and Red hand IX 331s Unless you know something about elemental damage that I don't. I figured it only made an impact in 'burns' and with shields Sadly this does mean that with the DLC pretty much all my favourite weapons now live in my vault.
