The Player Level (I am a Warlock lvl 31) is not a good representation of the actual player level. Just because I have armor that promotes me to lvl 31 does not mean I have the appropriate weapons. Most of my weapons are first generation (Prior to the DLC) and do not deal out the damage required to participate in the Raids and such. A couple of my friends are lower lvl than me and are pulling 1 to 2 thousand hit points during VOG. My most powerful weapon is lucky to get 400 to 600. I think the weapon lvl needs to be part of the player level in some way.
