How I use Warlock for CE

Sun Singer

Void Walker

The decision is up to you and your gear. Voidwalker or Sunsinger (I am no big pro raider I don't have 20+ raids finished this is just what I have used and what I have found useful) The Lamps Depending on the situation both Sunsinger and or Voidwalker work just fine. When using Voidwalker I either lead the group or walk near the end using the Obsidian Mind, you can chain supers due to how man thralls spawn and chase you. With the obsidian mind the Bad Juju and the Murmur work amazingly. Use the bad juju to gain your super quickly and the Murmur for both super and grenades. In terms of grenades I'd have to say Axion bolt is the worst for lamps. The Scatter grenade is excellent to help you chain your supers together and kills a ton of thrall if they are bunching up, and the Vortex grenade is excellent to keep thrall away as and also kills. The Vortex grenades can also be used to keep thrall or knights off of injured teammates. This brings me to the Nova Bomb, it is of course excellent for taking out the massive amounts of thrall but I also use the "perks" vortex and vortex mastery or bloom in its place. This allows you to use your super as a shield from thrall and knights for a few seconds due to the fact that they avoid entering the Nova bomb. I really cannot recommend using Sunsinger for the Lamp or Lantern section. It is really something used for yourself it can be used for survival if you aren't confident in your ability to stay alive you have self rez and you can spam grenades to keep thrall off teammates and to kill them as well. With the Claws of Ahamkara you get 2 scorch uses to give yourself a shield once again just to keep yourself alive not really a big team helper. The only plus is if you are confident you can increase your groups cooldowns and spam them nades. The Bridge I usually am on the middle plate and I am also sometimes the last to cross, I use the cooldown reduction and really only find Sunsinger now useful for the grenade spam to keep thrall and other enemies from killing enemies. The bridge is pretty easy to understand and doesn't require ,any supers or abilities to pass it. Just work with your team. Most of this part just requires everyones bullets, and if you are the last to cross and have your super it is always smart just to throw on the self rez if you arent confident or worried that you will be taken out. Usually before crossing I switch back to Voidwalker because the hallway is excellent for the hallway part especially with the Obsidian Mind. The Hallway As I said above I try to switch back early so I can get my Nova Bomb, on the hallway I chain supers where there are groups of thrall and every second I'm not using the super I focus the Shrieker to get our designated runner through the hallway and past the closing doors for the chest, and it doesnt hurt to have 2 runners if you really want the chest. But remember if you dont think you will make it into the chest room just stop tell everyone to stop and wipe so you can keep trying, for those who do not know if you go into the circular room that is the checkpoint even if you haven't dropped down. If you do not like Voidwalker feel free to use Sunsinger or what you are comfortable with. Deathsinger This is the one mini boss that everyone likes to skip. I usually wear the Skull of Dire Ahamkara just because I do not have the Starfire Protocol lvled up. Sometimes or most of the time I use Sunsinger through the halls (it depends how I feel about the group I am with) and keep my super for the Deathsinger. I also do keep self rez on in case I get killed by a shrieker death blast. I am usually one of the people who lures a Wizard outside while 4 of the team waits where Crota spawns (someone else lures the other one) then we kill them and go after the shriekers and finally the Deathsinger. I use Sunsingers fusion grenades to do a lot of dmg to the Deathsinger along with the Ghorn 2.0. Really I don't see a huge use for Voidwalker if you are lvl 31 because of the decreased dmg done to enemies. Crota I usually use Sunsinger without self rez, I use song of flame or radiant skin and position myself near the bottom of the stair or even next to the rock where our selected sword bearer will be when getting ready to hit Crota. I stand here due to the amount of thralls that focus on you, when a wave of thrall run at me I super and spam fire bolt grenades and use scorch with my fire shield so I can spawn a ton of orbs for the sword bearer. The only time I use self rez is when I am sword bearer due the fact that 2 times our groups timing was off when Crota was pretty much dead as I moved away Crota did his instant attack from the crouched position and killed me, my team started flipping out but I told them to focus Crota. They took his shield out as I self rezzed and finished him off. The self resurrection should only be used in those cases or if your team is having a good run in my opinion. These are just some of the "tactics" I use. Everything depends on your gear and what you are truly comfortable with. And some of the exotics also have a lot to do with how you act in the raid and what your actions are. I apologize if I misspell anything or screw up on gear names. Really all of the Warlock exotics are very useful. In the end what do you enjoy using during the raid and why? What gear do you use?
