What I like about Destiny

Thought it was interesting one particular forum only had 4 posts.. The forum was for people who wanted to say "what I like about Destiny." Very interesting indeed. I'll post something. Something so profound, it will blow people's socks off. I will now post, what I like about Destiny. The thing is, what I like about Destiny is also what many hate, and it's the very thing they're using to keep us hooked. It's DEMONSTRATED Potential. That's an important phrase in video gaming, cause it's the principle they're using when they give us demos and betas. If gamers would adopt this phrase into their vocabulary, it would set the gaming companies on edge because it's a term that indicates gamers are thinking more critically about the very nature of the gaming industry. This games Demonstrated Potential is clear and it's enough to keep me playing. This game is like a well set board with pieces that could go any direction and be successful, just as long as they GO there. It's got great gaming mechanics. It's got a very very interesting concept in the Shared World Shooter. It's got coop. It's got aspects for casual players and "hard core" players (as vague as both those terms are.) The loot and weapons keep grinders coming back for hours despite mediocre story and level content. I love to grind, and the missions offer enough coop (the other reason I play) to keep me coming back. Basically, Bungie took the concepts that I loved about Halo (minus the story) and built Destiny. This game has been a success. And I've enjoyed it up to this far. Thanks Bungie for the idea. I've had a love hate with the game, but I do that with almost every game I've ever played. But in this post,, I wanted to concentrate on what I love, that you created a game that has demonstrated a lot of potential with the core gameplay and overall idea. As you can see, just like this forum is lacking in posts, so this article is short on length, because while you've demonstrated the potential for a great game, well, if I had more content to comment about, I would. So would other people. Questions is, after delivering what not a few people perceive as the equivalent of a lie for the price tag of $100, are people going to wait long enough for you to give them something to talk about in THIS forum instead of your Feedback forum? I wonder. But for now I love thinking what an already solid game might be in the future. And I love collecting exotic items. And I love helping friends get their equipment, and when I finally play the raids, I'm sure I'll love them too.
