You guys and gals know what I'm talking about? When you load up the VOG and see a group full of 30s and 31s. You go to inspect their armor, and most of it is Vanguard Light 33.
"Have you done/beaten the hard raid before?"
"Yeah all the time!"
*[b]15 minutes later[/b]*
"How do we kill the Templar?"
"What's a gorgon?"
"What side is Venus?"
"There's a Conflux at Gatekeeper?!"
"Wait, those Harpies explode?"
"Why am I detained?!"
And my favorite: "There's no revives on hard?"
People. Please be honest. Personally, I [i]love[/i] explaining the mechanics of the VOG to new people. I love helping VOG virgins through it for the first time. It's awesome.
But please don't lie about it. If you say you know what you're doing, we won't explain it because we assume you've done it.
Now, what happens if you say you've never done it and get kicked from a group? Well that's a good thing. Because those people have no tolerance and patience (and time). You don't want to raid with people like that. You want a group that is forgiving, loose, chill, and can help others.
I love helping people. But please, don't lie. It makes it easier on everybody.

21 RepliesI had this happen yesterday, no joke. We were going through on NORMAL and everyone was 30 and 31 (except my friend I was pulling who was 28) and the first problem came at the Oracles... Of course everyone already knew what to do so didn't explain anything.... "You have been marked...." Me: Who didn't shoot the Oracle? Everyone: Oh, it wasn't me..... Just kept playing and again "You have been marked..." Me: Who didn't shoot the Oracle? Everyone: Oh, it wasn't me. Me: Well in case any of you need a refresher the bright yellow lights need to be shot until they explode. SURPRISE: We didn't get marked again... I then explained Templar before we did it and told everyone to just follow me at the maze. Gatekeeper: Nobody could survive getting the Relic, and nobody knew how to hold down the middle. Ended up having the lvl 28, myself, and some other guy who messed up A LOT 12 tries....Don't forget we are on NORMAL and not hard mode... At this point I was about to throw my controller through the T.V. Now Atheon (2 hours after we started) I explain everything again because I have already figured out the group of friends with me haven't done this before but wouldn't be honest about.....and then..... Oh damn, I forgot you said the Harpies explode...tee hee hee Oh we have to shoot all the Oracles before leaving with the Relic holder, sorry I forgot....Tee Hee Hee Oh damn, I forgot the Harpies explode again....TEE HEE HEE The Relic isn't working when I hold the grenade button ( I chalked this up to a glitch for about 4 times before I went off) Now they all started listening and 3 hours after we started we finally beat it on Normal and they ask me if I wanna do Hard Mode.....um...sorry guys....gotta go.... I have helped many people do this for the first time so I have a lot of patience but when people lie as the Poster says it makes it 10x more difficult....please be honest people That being said if anyone new people or raid virgins need assistance, hit me up on PS4...
