I've been hearing that they are legal to use. Is this true? I would like to know, not sure if it benefits you in PVP or in Destiny overall. If anyone has insight into this let me know!
Any recommendations on modded controllers. How does this one look and sound to you? I honestly just want the rapid fire to shoot my scout rifles without having to lift my finger.

Edit: I think everyone is getting the wrong idea. I have an illness that I cramp with repetitive movements. Lifting my finger up and down for a long time cramps my hands up. I have VoC but I don't want to be limited to that weapon. I only ask to find out if it works to fire in full auto, same fire RATE. I'm not looking to increase the rate of fire of guns to work in my benefit. Sorry for not stating this earlier.

I'm not %100 sure on this matter, however, unless its incorporating some sort of actual cheats, such as making a gun fire faster than it should normally, even when your pressing as fast as you can. if the capabilities are the same in that sense, & there are no real, actual cheats involved, i fail to see why it would be illegal. I mean honestly, as before, with no actual cheats involved, & you can't do anything with it (the modded controller) that you wouldn't normally be able to do, modded or not, than what's the problem...? that sounds sorta like if someone said because I have a gamer chair, with 3d/surround sound to hear noise better from w/e directions, & because I have a steering wheel with gas pedals n such, that I'm cheating because of my "advantage"...

I have a problem with my eyes and bright screens due to lens replacement... SO does that make it ok for me to use a modded controller with aim assist???? I am getting older and reflexes slowing SO does that make it ok for me to get a modded controller with rapid fire etc? These are just excuses for CHEATS... ALL controllers should be identical and only permitted to have standard operating features. No issues with those who want there own designs and colours BUT some of the excuses here area a joke... problems with my finger pulling the trigger... what about all the other controller buttons/controls??? Constantly holding the trigger button also effects issues with your finger the same and continually activating the trigger. You have an advantage as the mod fires trigger at same rate where without it there a a difference between each shots timing... If you can't use the standard controllers then gaming is not for you and don't play and find something else to do...

People crying over a game, you going against some players that are too good so why not use the controllet and say -blam!- em
-
I'm the same I have shoulder issues and these controllers help alot. Yoy can't use fusion rifles or the warlocks arc ability with rapid on tho. And auto rifles they don't work with they slow them down to handle better.

I hope u all get banned for life ..illness or not...chtn is chtn no matter what your excuse...otherwise dont play other unaware players.

I'll be honest, I have one from controller chaos, I've got a rapid fire mod along with a few others for CoD zombies, I don't find it bad at all if you have a illness that limits you. The mod is simply allowing you to play better with that illness. I got mine for pretty much the same reason, after about an hour of straight scout rifle play, my finger locks up. It helped me tremendously, and I highly recommend controller chaos over anywhere else, they have the absolute customer service I've ever seen, and they deliver a very high quality product.

I have a device that turns any controller into a modded controller so you can do rapid fire. I rarely use it all since I got it to allow cross platform controllers to work on the system (arcade fight sticks is what I use it for). I have tested rapid fire in CoD and it works. When in destiny it only fires as fast as the gun can normally fire. I haven't done any more tests to see if actual modded controllers allow for it. From my tests though it seems Destiny seems to have some sort of counter to make sure the gun can only fire as fast as it is allowed to.

people who cheat in games cheat in life too they're nothing but scum
-
Extra paddles hair triggers aren't technically modded....it's the chips that run the controllers that get replaced for aimbot/jump shot/drop shot chips.....they're the one that'll get you banned
-
A controller with extra buttons or paddles (like a Scuf or Xbone Elite) is not a problem; however, any controller with a modded chipset (auto-fire, jump-fire, auto-aim, and whatnot) is a BANHAMMER offense.

I've recently started using a keyboard and mouse set up for PvP. Haters gonna hate.
-
They are some what legal but they are down fall for them. For the rapid fire mod all guns will shoot at the current fire rate but the fusion rifle. They will not release the charge for the rifle but rather act like it's firing. I will not say that I have one or not but I have experienced that the rifle will not fire currently. Megamodzplanet. Com has done nice controllers and they ate COMPLETELY undetectable online
-
I have a a SCUF and a Venom X. Both set up for destiny, though i never use the Venom on destiny. I set my SCUF up for slide and jump.
-
I thought you meant scuff controllers and such.
-
"Legal" yea I use a scuf one that counts as a mod My friend ( whom I will not nameshame) uses a master mod with aimbot This game is not mlg so it really doesn't matter
-
They're allowed. But if destiny goes mlg then no. IF is the keyword
-
I use a scuf- technically it's modded(modified) but not 'modded'
-
This game is not competitive so nobody gives a shit.
-
The fact that anyone would spend more than double the price of a normal controller for a slight advantage blows my mind.
-
It depends. Scufs (xbox elite is similar) and keyboard and mouse (an official PS combo is being released soon) are OK. They're different hardware, but they don't change the game. A modded controller that messes the game could get you banned.

Edited by Badshah Kazi: 9/8/2015 4:44:11 PMThey do allow Scufs and modded controller in unofficial Destiny tournaments hosted by clans. Keyboard and Mouse isn't allowed though. My friend has a Scuf for PS4 and a Xbox 360 Elite Controller. I've tried the Scuf and although it helps with less pressure required to pull the trigger, it doesn't increase your skill or give you that much of an advantage over the other player. You can only fire as fast as the weapon can without Full Auto. So before any idiot comes and says "It increases fire rate!" It really doesn't. Only advantage you get is, better control over thumbsticks, but you could get Kontrol Freeks which could do the same and they cost around $10. Better grip on the controller itself. And less pressure required to pull the trigger. Only the pressure is considerable because technically if someone bumps into you, you can fire first but apart from that, nothing else. Modded controllers is not cheating.
-
can i get this without getting banned?
-
You left out mouse and keyboard
-
Scuff's are, Modded are not. Though, I am starting to want an answer of Keyboard and Mouse adapters, mostly because Shes My Nerd is straight up cheating with it.
