How about dismantling primaries with elemental damage gives a Solar/Arc/Void shard which you can use to upgrade an equipped primary with the respective element?

umm dnt ALL secondary n heavy gun have an element? i think the point was to only have a few primary guns with elements cuz ye it would make it rather easy if your primary had it too not completly opposed to this tho but bungie seems to like making things more difficult not more easy which is fine too many devs take the dam casual route

It doesn't sound unreasonable, but then what value would high end raid weapons have then especially since you have to go through insurmountable odds for them, with ALL the other exotics it's kind of like just show up and hang out and you get one which would make the raid weapons cheap and easy to replace which is not what raid exclusive weapons are meant to be.

Doesnt sound unreasonable, but they need to be careful so too many exotic gains elemental dmg, Fatebringer and Vision of Confluence are supposed to be extra good considering what you've done to achieve them. Getting a exotic primary like suros isnt a big deal, giving it arc/solar/void will make it one of the best weapons in the game, for the simple price of 20+ strange coins. There is a balance topic that needs to be adressed before giving exotics elemental dmg. Thats why Vex has elemental dmg and is an exotic, cause its only achieved in hard mode VoG.

Yeah not a bad idea only raid weapoms have ot why not exotic they are more rare and harder to get but there are less badass because the only do non elemantal damage

Ohh no... that would be a bad idea. It's nice to imagine; however, a Universal Remote or MIDA Multi Tool with Elemental Damage would make them HORRIBLY OP for the PvE events. Most of the primaries that do elemental damage are Raid weapons... if you get them... keep them. They make the Nightfalls and weekly(s) MUCH easier.

Agree . Not every single one, but having more choice aside from VoC, vex fatebringer and epilogue wouldnt hurt

Yes do this already. Especially for certain ones like hard light, thorn, bad juju. Just fits with some guns.

Agreed I like using legendarys better than most exotics for just that reason.

Why not have the raid exotics fire an element per shot? i mean they are meant to be the hardest things to get in the game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only exotics that don't have elemental properties are mainly the primary ones.

Elemental primaries are unique to raid weapons, giving them to everyone would negate a major reward for raiders. PvPers don't need them, and in PvE you can get by without them but having them is a massive help during weekly and nightfall.

I agree. Exotics are not exotic level. We all use the same ones. If you added elemental damage to primary exotics we might actually use them over icebreaker and jellyhorn

Hard light definitely needs one as it shoots BLUE FRKICKIN BULLETS Thorn should be void since you need void kills within the crucible Bad juju should also be void to compensate its low performance and because it looks so evil and void sounds like a evil element (love the gun but there is not real reason to choose it over others) That's all I got what about you guys?

I think ones that have an elemental background, (thorns bounty needs void kills, hard light = light = lightning = arc) should get elemental damage.
