• Vog was not actually cheating, or an exploit. Bungie just made the mistake of allowing enemies to fall off the map. Crota is cheating. You are essentially lag switching to cause crota to 'freeze' which may be a banable offense. Psn bans lag switchers in PvP games.

Cheap + Easy = Cheese Seriously this word has been used for years maybe even over a decade. Cheesing is basically the same as cheating except cheating means you are giving your self an advantage by "mods" or "hacks". There is a reason why GTA cheat codes are offline only.

              Lol look at number ten:
A more accurate definition of cheese in Starcraft 2: A cheese strategy is simply a high risk/high reward tactic which aims to win a game with little strategic effort, and relies on the failure of the opponent to properly react. A cheese strategy will often leave the cheeser at a significant disadvantage should the cheese fail. Perhaps the most popular example is the photon cannon rush, in which photon cannons are built in close proximity to the enemy base so that they can be used offensively. If spotted early, the cannon rush will likely fail and the defending player will have a significant economic advantage, exemplifying the high risk/high reward nature of cheese. A cheese strategy does NOT necessarily take advantage of imbalances in the game, and most cheeses are easily countered if they are spotted early and there is adequate time to prepare (hence why many cheeses rely on poor scouting). Cheese is often regarded as "cheap" or "dirty" play, as the player cheesing does not try to counter their opponent or adjust their strategy. "All-in" strategies are good examples of this. Below are some more examples of cheeses. Note how each cheese strategy takes advantage of "common" flaws in the defending player's build/strategy. If the flaw is not present, the cheese will likely be countered and lose:
• People really don't understand the difference. Cheese VOG, I assume having Atheon fall off the edge? This is a badly coded game mechanic that was exploited by many people as it was very easy to do. Bungie intended Atheon to be shot to death, not grenade spammed in a position it force the enemy to his death off the ledge. Not cheating, just not the intended way of doing it. Crota forever kneeling is an unintentional game mechanic where the host disconnects, ejects disc or dashboard quits the game just as he kneels. This can happen genuinely by accident if the host gets booted or has a power cut at that exact moment of crota kneeling. I agree if you are forcing this glitch on purpose, it can be seen as cheating. But at least understand the difference between cheat and cheese. One requires external manipulation outside of the game to achieve the end result. E.g. disc eject or dashboard quit.
