Work on those Pulse Rifles!

The Pulse Rifle class of weapon is the most underused and underpowered class of weapons available in Destiny. They are very ineffective against any mildly formidable opponent. It's disappointing to see all these weapons go to waste after someone designed them for gamers to use. Pulse Rifles however, are not beyond hope. They just need to do more damage! Or at least have larger magazines. There are two types of Pulse Rifles that I've seen. One type has a high rate of fire and low impact, while the other has high impact with low rate of fire. The type with the most potential is the one with high rate of fire. This types needs to have higher impact and/or more bursts. If you ask why, consider this. With each burst of a pulse rifle having 3 shots, a Pulse Rifle with 21 shots (for example) has only 7 bursts! And since multiple bursts are often required to take down and enemy (especially in PvE), some enemies often require more than half the bursts to eliminate! Tor example, The Time on Target pulse rifle has 7 bursts, and a level 24 Cabal Legionary requires a whopping 4 bursts to kill! 21 rounds may be a reasonable amount for an Auto Rifle, but you must consider each burst to count as one round. When you consider ammunition in that way, Pulse Rifles have a pathetically small amount of ammo. Current and future Pulse Rifles need to be buffed. These weapons are not beyond hope. People would be glad to use Pulse Rifles if they were more practical, but as they stand they are not useful at all. Thanks for the feedback you guys. I do realize that there are some good pulse rifles out there, but they are so rare that I feel that class as a whole needs improvement. It's true that if you get all three rounds are critical it does a fair amount of damage. But even if all three are critical pulse rifles do significantly less damage than one shot from scout rifles or hand cannons (both of which often have more ammo as well). Even some auto rifles do more damage with only three rounds. Also chances are you will not get three critical shots every time, so you have to use up one more of your exetremely limited bursts on one enemy. Finally some enemies as weak as lv. 24 require more than one burst even with three critical shots. Keep supporting this post and similar ones and maybe we will see some needed improvement to this weapon class.
