I think there is just a high chance of the shaders dropping upon completion of the raid. I had buddies that didn't get the chatter white shader from the VoG the first time around too.

Hey Shadow Hunter. There's currently a bug right now where it will not give you the emblem for completing the raid if your emblem inventory is full. You'll either have to do the raid again on another character or wait until the reset on Tuesday, just make sure you have space for the emblem next time. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :(
