I'd like to thank all the PvP complainers for ruining suros. A re-maxed 331 suros that does 63 dmg, looking dts, to the head of a blade of crota and takes more than one magazine to kill is ridiculous and entirely your f'ing fault. Bungie only listens to you weeping asshats, for some reason, screaming "nerf this, nerf that". In the course of you thinking only of yourselves you overlook the fact it effects PvE too. Eveything I did to level it back up (they lied by the way, the primary weapons take just as much time) was for nothing because it sucks now. You PvP crybabies ruin weapons because you can't figure out how not to get killed by what ever it is you're complaining about that day. F.u.c.k each and every one of you. Merry Christmas chumps

Don't you understand? The reason they did this absurd systematic farming process is to ensure that you continue playing Destiny. Why waste the time giving players anything meaningful if it means they will get to the level cap quicker before the next money-grabbing "expansion" hits the market? They know that the moment you reach that max level within the first month, you won't have a reason to keep playing for the rest of the 2 months... that is of coarse if you continue to play for the purpose of gaining the exotic you want and then farming for the glimmer and materials necessary to maximize it's upgrades. They are not going to listen to you, PERIOD! They will keep Xur a once-a-weekend vendor disregarding those who work during the time he's in the tower, they will keep random loot random to ensure newbies get a chance at rising through the ranks with little to no effort, because if people don't feel like badasses playing this game then they will discontinue playing it. There will be no story in bulk because if the story was all given at launch they wouldn't be able to maximize profit by dangling the promise of a bigger story through the next "expansion" in front of your face. Broken chat means nothing to them, if it was all about being social as they claimed it would be, then they would've given us a proximity chat via quote bubbles over each Guardian's head, as well as a proper voice chat. Disabling matchmaking for the hardest content in the game is again meant to ensure that everyone doesn't beat it too fast, giving them an incentive to continue playing the game. Grimiore cards are meant to try and satisfy you for the lack of a competent story in the game while you're forced to purchase it in later "expansions" that do little to expand the story at all. Exotic weapons and armor will remain under this failed "reset" system because rather than have you jump up to all these next level enemies with the progress you've obtained with your exotic weapon, they saw an opportunity to... you guessed it, have you farm more to further ensure that you stay hooked in the game and never leave it. It remains lucrative that way. Get with the program buddy, this is Bungie, who are now in bed with one of the most notorious money-grabbing jackasses in the industry - ACTIVISION!

This is the problem with a FPS PvP arena designed around gear - people will complain. Actually, it seems to be a problem with gaming in general... This game requires adaptation, and most gamers today lack that skill. The few that do still adhere to the Darwinian archetype do some incredible things, like one-manning Crota's End (with the Fatebringer LIKE A BOSS!). But then you have those who refuse to change - to shift with the dynamic of the game itself. They have 1 gun that they use, and refuse to really try anything else. That is why you have so many shotty whores running about still, even after they nerfed that months ago. And surprise surprise: those same shotty whores will inevitably come to these forums and complain about the Regime because, lo and behold, the guy using it killed them at distance while they were racing towards him with a weapon designed for close quarters only. This is one aspect that I always loved with Bungie, and they created something perfect in the Halo MP: the idea that nothing is the guaranteed-get-you-a-win weapon in any MP map. You have an AR? At distance sniper and scout win. Mid range, it is 50/50. Close range the AR wins. You have a shotty? You lose anywhere not close, but you almost always win at that distance. The problem is everyone wants their gun to be the gun for all situations, and that is not how this works, nor should it. If you are on the other side of the map using a fusion rifle, you should not be surprised when my sniper drops you. And If I am in your face, you should not be surprised that your sniper is damn near useless, unless you get lucky. But that is not how the majority thinks - if they die to a gun, they think it is OP and want Bungie to make the mean men with the bad gun go away to fix their booboo's instead of actually adapting to a new situation.

There really should be separate weapons for PvE vs PvP. And if not separate weapons then separate upgrades that would prove useless in crucible and vice versa.
-
PVP and PVE need to be two completely separate entities when it comes to weapon damage. Problem solved. An exotic would still feel "exotic" in PVE, and you wouldn't have people crying in PVP. Seems like a simple fix...

Edited by DUURJOB: 12/25/2014 2:45:48 AMSuros needed that NERF though. Maybe not to the point that it was but still. Same as the mythoclast. It was beyond over used and dominated the crucible. Pvp needs to be balanced. Not favor anyone who gets lucky and finds a good gun. Those bungie asshats should no better than to NERF it for pvp AND pve. They need to keep nerfs in the crucible
-
Oh the irony whining about another set of people whining over something Just stop whining and get over it
-
Im not saying it needed a nerf but the Suros is heavily overused in pvp.
-
I agree 100%. Suros not the same and it's because ppl can't play pve. Stop NERFING guns completely. Even with the Suros nerfed I can still beat ppl but now it's even harder.
-
AGREED!!!!!!!!!!
-
PVP ruins PVE. Bungie knows it but they really only care about PVP. Fact. Get used to it.
-
>Implying PvE players don't whine about anything
-
show me where the PVP players touched you.....

-
Maybe you should play some pvp
-
Suros should be about as good as any legendary auto rifle the only difference is it has that great perk with life steal, but making it worse is bad. It has incredible stats that make it probably the best primary in the game. If one thing were to be changed it should be the stability, The damage should stay, this is not supposed to be a precision weapon anyway
-
The gun has not been nerfed yet. You were dealing lower damage because you were fighting an enemy some 24 levels below you.

Edited by XLORDXSITHX: 12/25/2014 4:49:09 AMThe only thing u need for pvp is smart drift control the rest are pve upgrades that ruin the pvp value of the weapon. Most importantly slower firerate while ads. But yes it is ruined for pve
-
Bohoo give u a perk-less weapon and u suck.
-
PvP always has and always will ruin PvE games. That's all there is to it.
-
I completely agree too many people get so focused on the competitive side of things and forget what will happen to people that mainly play non crucible things
-
You guys all realize this had nothing to do with any nerf and the gun has not been nerfed yet? Caseyoakdale was probably fighting a lvl 6 Blade and was seeing the reduced level dmg.
-
Do you have any sense of game balance? I won't even touch on the topic of weapon balance. First, the SUROS Regime is an Auto Rifle, it is meant for close to midrage firefights, you are lucky that is do 63 damage to the last boss of the new raid. Second, what kind of damage are you expecting, honestly, I'm dying to know. There is a reason why PvP players are usually the go to part of the community in terms of weapon balance, they have a slightly more level head than PvE players, from what I have noticed on the forums, every PvE player apparantely wants every gun to hit like a ton of bricks from any range. If you want a gun to hit hard, you should never be using an auto rifle, that is what scout rifles and hand cannons are for. Auto rifles are for sustained DPS. Now before you go and try to rip me a new a-hole, and say that I am a PvP whiner. First, I have 230 Story, 318 Strike, 5 Raid, and 285 Patrol missions under my belt. I only have 597 Crucible matches played. So a bulk of my time is actually in PvE. Now, you will probably try to combat that with, "But you only have 5 raids!" Yeah, I do, that doesn't actually mean anything, other than I haven't played them. A raid boss is supposed to be a big bad guy, that has better armor, and can take a hit, etc. I have no problem with the SUROS and how hard it hits, it hits fine, in PvE and PvP. The only problem I have with it is how stable of a platform it is. That is a debate for another time though. In conclusion, you are either trying to damage your target from entirely too far away, or your expectations for the weapon you are using are entirely unrealistic. Either way, if you want to do more damage I suggest you use a different gun, or starting using SUROS for its intended purpose.

I agree that the nerf posts need to stop. I suck at PVP and I have been one shot by the Thorn numerous times. Very frustrating. However, I never said "The Thorn is OP and must be nerfed." Instead I told myself that maybe I need to get one of those and get good at it or maybe I need to find a weapon and some tactics to deal with Thorn wielders. I still suck at PVP and prefer PVE but at least it is a challenge when I do PVP. My solution? Get better or find some teammates. Hopefully I will. Nerfs just make everything the same and thus pointless to have anything exotic. I do think they should allow us to customize the perks a little on exotics tho. Little variety goes a long ways.
-
I mean who wants to work hours a day for an exotic that's just as good as a rare or legendary. Nobody does and why listen to whiners they are most likely 12 and mad that they don't have it I guarantee if they had it themselves they wouldn't be complaining about it at all. Don't do gun nerfs its ridiculous. Exotics should be and feel a little op and have advantages so don't take them away because we work for them and spend our strange coins on them.
