I just did a crucible match, where four out of six of the opposing team would camp around a specific zone. It was stupid, cheap, and unfair. Anyone else ever experience this? Voice your concerns below.
Edit: After a bunch of people said it was them actually playing control right, and 68% (at this moment) of people voted I needed more skill. I guess I should work on that.
Edit: Apparently I should also mention this was Iron Banner.

Grab b n c camp at b 24/7 defend that area. Or 'C stay back
-
You play. To win. The game.
-
When starting a control match Lord Shaxx: "Capture and defend guardians." You are supposed to defend you captured zone. The crouching is a bit overdone but it is still sound strategy when you dont know how many people the red on the radar represents. You shouldnt just run into a captured zone though. Fake one way come in another.
-
In control I try to bounce between 2 zones if I have a good team. If I can find a spot were I can protect both zones without moving much I will gladly camp and leave it up to a more skilled player to take me down.
-
OP I play dat crouch game with knucklehead radar hehe
-
Your supposed to camp in control your team sucks if they don't
-
I regretfully admit that I resorted to camping and fusion rifle use to get my thorn bounty done. But it worked like a charm.
-
Depends on the game your playing. Control played properly requires camping. Get 2 points and sit on them = win. Death match and camping is just bad form.
-
Sorry to burst your bubble but not everyone runs around and slides/blinks with a shotgun. I'm a better sniper in long and mid range maps and I sit back and pick people off. Get over it.
-
Go play clash if you dont like people playing objectives.
-
If you know were they're at, why don't you kill them? Go around or throw a grenade.
-
Let me ask one question. You are a military trained sniper. Are you going to run INSIDE the building, walk UP to the target, AIM at his head, FIRE, and go "No scope bitch!"? It's a strategy. Get used to it. I rest my case.
-
bounties don't finish themselves you know.
-
Crucible is stupid -blam!-ing easy with a scout rifle. All these trash scrubs just run around the map chasing you with a shotgun and it's the easiest multiplayer I've played in a while. I don't even have to worry about all the nonsense every complains about either. The only kids that complain about the Crucible are the ones that have no idea how to play the game. I hate getting killed by shotguns and fusion rifles. So what did I do? I changed my play style! It's so easy now it's not even funny. If you complain about the Crucible, chances are you already suck dick at it. I'm sitting at around 2.4 K/D on my warlock and I don't even try. I literally just watch shotgun scrubs run at me and then they're already dead in 4 scout rifle shots. Also, if you use a shotgun, you're already trash in the first place. Merry Crucible!

Campers suck, but I don't dispise them it if you are doing an exotic bounty
-
Let me guess...Shores of Time. A sniper covering C and another camping behind the tree. I like shooting campers. They just sit there as if you won't flank them.
-
Campers are pinged like every 5-10 seconds on the radar and if you know good hope points or have nades to flush them out then they really aren't a problem
-
Wow your KD and Combat Rating bro.... No wonder you're mad. You aren't good enough to get regular easy kills. No wonder you can't kill people implementing actual strategy into the game.

Edited by Brokenspade: 12/21/2014 2:49:51 PMEvery gun has its counter measure. Getting shotgunned? Switch to a fusion. Getting fusioned? Switch to an AR and back up while you fire. Getting AR'd? Snipe! Getting sniped? Attack from the sides (hand cannons and grenades ftw!) Getting pulse rifled? Play candy crush. (Unless its bad juju... then, respect! The man who shot you is a boss. Show the Don respect)
-
Do campers suck? Absolutely, but action can't be taken against them.
-
those people on BlindWatch that sit in the blindspot to the right of the door between A and B with a shotgun. thas just not ok.
-
Individual campers aren't that bad (just sneak round after they kill you and get your revenge ^^) but whole or majority teams can be annoying. The camping isn't too much the problem as is the fact that they are probably all friends, chatting and know exactly what they are doing. I once had to 1v6 a pre-made team of 6... not fun. Bungie need to try and fireteams of 3+ against other fireteams of 3+.

It's called CONTROL

Campers can be very annoying, but the way Control works is that you get more points per kill with more control points held. If you have two control points then all you have to do is hold your positions and fight against opponents coming from the third control point. It's not like CoD's Domination mode where just holding the zones gets you points, but at the same time you still need them. One tactic you could use if you have a team with mics is to just all hold position at the one control point you have, and defend from the couple people who come after you. After a time of getting destroyed the opposing team will have to send more people out to fight, then you could send three people out together to attack another control point while the enemies are distracted with your defending team. Of course, this strategy would have to be done early enough to have time available to turn things around, as well as a close score between the two teams. If you only have the one control point but have the higher score, then you could just wait for the opposing team to come after you and build your lead.

It's called a deliberate ambush, you got caught deal with it.
