Edit: are you guys watching the video? This is not a Conservative/liberal thing, the point I am trying to make is every citizen of America is a constitutionalist, If you support free speech, right to bear arms, right to a trial by jury, free from torture, if you support any of these you are a constitutionalist. In the video they openly admit they have military grade vehicles to deal with the "Constitutionalists".

The Constitution was written almost 230 years ago. The laws within it were relevant for the time, but humans evolve and so should their laws. Much of the Constitution still holds validity in modern times, but this idea that it's unchangeable and that you're not a patriot for disagreeing with it is ridiculous.

Nothing in the bill of rights should ever be changed. Ever.

We've made crappy amendments to the Constitution before (Prohibition era, anyone?), and it's definitely experimental in nature. Our founding fathers had no idea what to do when the Articles of Confederations bombed, and this was the best they could do. But stuff has evolved since then, and the Constitution has evolved with it - but not always in the best way. We're still clinging to some outdated stuff that we shouldn't be clinging to and letting go of some things that we should hold onto. Finding that balance is hard, especially when you can't just say "Let's write another one and try to do better" because when we wrote the first one - we were all kind of in agreement - but the US isn't in general agreement anymore. Every state, every city, every district, every county, every politician, every individual ever wants something different. The fact we've tried so hard to adhere to this thing for as long as we have though is still kind of admirable, but I wholly expect a revolution of some kind to happen several years down the line. Maybe not in my lifetime, but maybe my children's.

Yes. As long as we remember that changing the Constitution is part of the Constitution.
-
Anyone who thinks we shouldn't live by the constitution has no place in our country.
