I'm looking to get a new Legendary Primary weapon and I've decided to use my extra Vanguard marks to get a Pulse Rifle. The Vanguard Quartermaster has 2 different ones available, but since I've really never used a Pulse Rifle I don't know what to look for...
Any advice??
Anyone used either of these by any chance??
Also note these would really only be used in PvE, unless I like really loved them.

Another nitc, badger ccl or up for anything

1919 is decent with field scout if you land head shots a lot but raid weapons are much better than vendor weapons
-
coiled hiss 1919 is very useful in both pie and pvp. It has a 30 round mag and a fast rate of fire. It has mor impact than a suros regime and it fires faster. The range is also higher than the time on target. PVP=9.1 PVE=8.4
-
Both weapons are shit, most pulse rifles in general are shit.
-
Coiled Hiss is very good once you get used to landing every burst as a headshot.
-
Three little words? :D
-
My friend and I both got hiss from nightfall. Meh
-
-
Neither, Oversoul edict GG scrub
-
I'm bummed because ToT was my first legendary. Still leveling up for another but have to use the POS until then. PvE: Scout Rifles FTW. PvP: Auto Rifles FTW
-
got a time on target with range finder, perfect balance, and counter balance. wrecks in pvp but f the mag size in pve i mean 7 bursts aint gonna kill anything.
-
Niether. Three little words hits like a...idk. but it has more impact than suros...which has the highest impact for autorifles.
-
neither, only good pulse rifles are bad juju (with obsidian mind on warlock), and red death (to regen health on hard mode crota)
-
pulse rifle = scrap it unless you're retarded, then use them
-
Neither. I keep getting both in Cryptarch packages. I dismantle them every time.

Edited by Renefrere: 2/2/2015 11:04:12 AMI would go with coiled hiss as ToT's fire rate is significantly lower and the impacts are about the same. However, based on preference, ToT's perks may be preferable. Its ability that makes it so that body shots make precisions shots do more damage seems like a good perk. This is because you can't always get that bonus precision damage but when you do, the extra damage seems helpful. The reactive reload seems nice to as bonus damage always can make a difference. I can't really say what I recommend but when choosing one, do consider these factors.

Don't get either, i tried them both and they are trash. If your looking for a versatile all around good performer then pick up Up For Anything. It's all around solid, good range, great stability. If you're dead set on pulse rifles then the crucible vendor has a very high impact pulse rifle but the draw back is that it's rate of fire is awkwardly slow. I haven't tried it cause -blam!- farming crucible but it might be worth a look.

Three little words is best out at vender if you can deal with the slow rate of fire but it does most dmg of all pulse out now second best is either time on target or the sygzgy 123 low end dmg because of no impact but high fire rate
-
don't get buried yet I still need advice!!
-
Why the hell would you use a pulse rifle? Lol
-
I'd like to know if anybody's tried ToT in the Crucible. I got a RNG Super Pox VLO with perfect balance and full auto and its basically the pulse rifle equivalent of the SUROS Regime. Almost no recoil, and two bursts is a kill if you successfully aim for the head. Been eyeing ToT and wondering if it could be a successor, or it's just a piece of junk. I don't have as much time to play as some of you people so I don't want to just blow 150 marks if it sucks.

ToT has a really slow fire rate. Personally I didn't like it
-
I got a Coiled Hiss from a Vanguard rank that has full auto and glass half full. Also has perfect balance perk. Definitely a keeper.
-
Coiled hiss I have it with full auto, Zen moment and a 42 mag. It's good. Got it from a drop.
-
Only good vanguard gun I have is Plug One.1 and its a fusion rifle that wrecks in pvp
-
I got Time on Target from the Nightfall and I really dont like it at all. I wouldnt waste any Vanguard marks/commendations on it.
