Bungie, You've seriously over-nerfed shotguns. They need more damage at range and a tighter group at range. at the very least allow the universal remote to warrant the yellow background or give it a blue one instead. All shotguns deserve better range but a shotgun boasting better range and damage at range as its exotic perk should not be so severely underperforming. If I can drop a deer at 100 ft with a slug I think a guardian with an over shield should at least take damage to the shield at 100 ft. You can easily keep a tight group with buckshot from 20 yards or so and the shot's got enough energy behind it to pack a punch at that range. Yet in destiny the shield doesn't even take damage at that range. I would pretty much guarantee that range 80% of the shot is gonna hit what your aiming at and all of it's gonna hurt, mortally with no shield. As far as keeping the game balanced is concerned, people complained the crucible was a shotty fest, now it's a fusion fest. People said, you shouldn't be able to aim a shotgun all the way across the room and drop someone. The things is, you should definitely be able to do just that with a shotgun, that is a shotgun's purpose. It is not a sniper rifle, but it should also not be effective only within range of a throwing knife. Thanks. On a Sidenote: locking people out of content that they had access to from day 1 ( weekly strikes) was pretty low. I have the dlc but many people do not. They should still be able to play what they paid for. Dlc should be a bonus, not an exclusion zone.
