So I haven't really created a thread before and I try to avoid the gripes and complaints but overall I love scanning the forums and reading people's opinions. So I decided I wanted to see how much we have a chance to affect the game as dedicated players. Here goes: I propose a way to make this game more "social" in at least the aspect of interaction if not speaking. My idea is for total zone conflict, it's not a foreign idea to MMOs and for certain types of games but it's not really something that's happening currently (ultra waves are a small form of this). For total zone conflict I propose that you have 1 or more factions looking to assault an entire zone i.e. the Vex show up to assault the moth yards in the cosmodrome. We're talking drop ships and large scale vehicle warfare. Then the Guardians have to fight a 2-3 pronged fight against multiple factions. You can add objectives and "world bosses" to spice things up. Make it visceral and brutal and so tough players barely ever win early on, they'll get better, play harder and then in time whoop up on the tzc's over time. You can make the rewards small or something cool and unique or make it something they'd need to constantly work towards, like Nechrocasm. For the "casuals" as much as the hardcores. For this to work you need to open up the world shards to house more than a few players, my suggestion would be a dozen. So friends can go in in small or large teams and really put in work. I think it has great potential and I hope others feel the way I do, more importantly I hope people share ideas like these in this thread and maybe we can really mold this world.
