Obsidian mind vs Claws Of Ahamkara
I bought the claws and got the helmet from an engram today. Which do you prefer and why

Any gjallarhorn or dragons breath can do the job perfectly fine. Void walker is a wasted class for pve. Sure I use it in PvP but other than that obsidian mind isn't what people are saying it is. Just overhyped garbage. My friend even brags about it and I don't know why

I'll pick obsidian mind any day, I've literally been able to toss a nova bomb and have it instantly recharge, brilliant!

Claws for sunsinger obviously and obsidian for voidwalker

I have neither sadly but that helm perk looks bad ass! I use the ahamkara helm at the moment for everything. I have nemesis also but only use that on easy vog or nightfall.

I have both but can't use either yet as my warlock is level 11! I'm planning on obsidian for void walker and claws for sunbro

Depends on what your doing but obsidian mind meshes well with bad juju

1 ReplyObsidian mind is great in pve, and in void walker but it only can help void walker alot. Claws are more versatile, being able to work for both subclasses. If you can't decide just pick which one looks more badass. [spoiler]*Cough cough* Claws *cough cough*[/spoiler]

With the obsidian mind you can use super after super after super if you use it well. There was a game where I had 169 kills Ina strike and everyone else had 40. It's pretty incredible

Once i get obsidian mind it will be my main helmet till the purifier robes are release

Obsidian Mind all the way. Claws are good for pvp though.

Gotta go with Claws, but that's because I'm a melee junkie and they're useful with both subclasses. I will say that obsidian mind looks straight baller, and if I ever end up with it, I'll put it to good use.

When I get raid helmet, I'll use claws. Till then gotta use the helmet

I like claws better, but I can't say they are useful for light switch, etc.

Obsidian mind for pve and claws for pvp. Have the helmet and it makes me consider switching from sunsinger since maxing it out

I like the look of the obsidian mind more than te claws, but the claws are better

Edited by Britton: 12/20/2014 6:46:12 PMMan. Thats a tough one. Claws of ahamkara With the final melee perk on in your subclass skill tree your melee charges your super AND your grenade. Also with embrace the void perk in the voidwalker skill tree your grenade damage charges your super. So 2 melees creates a strong feedback loop for you if you run your perks like i mentioned. its exotic perk also works for both subclasses. And i love having 2 flame chrges. Obsidian mind. You can run the perks mentioned above and kills on enemies in pve charge your super, and your super charges your super. So its a tough call. If you swap subclasses alot then go claws of ahamkara. Having 2 grenades and melee charges on sunsinger is super fun. If you stick with voidwalker a lot then go obsidian mind.

If you play strikes and play with friends obsidian mind is the way to go. It makes orbs. If you play with Titans and warlocks itll be useful but blade dancer doesn't make orbs and golden gun doesn't do much either.

The claws are more useful as a Sunsinger and as people have already put, use it for getting an over shield. The Obsidian Mind lets you spam nova bomb if there are a lot of enemies which also means free orbs for everyone! Personally, I'd rather have Obsidian Mind.
