I got it When i was doing the bounty where you need to kill those 3 mobs that leave the sword behind. Did the story mode on normal and got it after I killed him the second time.

I dedicated 3 hours of my day yesterday listening to same stupid dialogue over a hundred times and killing the same guy just to do it all again. Then I finally got it. Then I told my friend about it and he got one 3rd try

Majority of people averaged 20-40 resets of running that mission over and over. Some spent 10 hours trying to get it. It's a waste of time. Just run bounties around earth and the moon and you will eventually get it from one of the blades running around. Unless you have eris at level 3 and absolutely want it now otherwise you will eventually get it. Also don't do the mission with other people, it will only drop for one person.

Just got it after running it for twenty to thirty minutes. Was about to give up lol. Anybody made theirs legendary yet?

I got it, made a new character, and am jawing it for all the moon missions to get all the kills for eidon ally (or whatever it's called) upgrade.

I got it from doing patrols in the rocketyard for 30 minutes

I did that mission I'd say about 50 times on my main and 15 or so times on alts and got nothing. My friend jumped on killed three blades on patrol on earth and got it so Idk what's the best way I just know my RNG is the wrong way to get it.

You can try what I did this morning. It might net you one. First, run nightfall at level 31 back to back with two characters. Have a buddy who is also at level 31 who can do it with you. That buddy has to have a level 28 friend who he INSISTS ON BRINGING INTO THE NIGHTFALL. He must also insist that his level 28 friend can carry himself. One you begin, make sure the level 28 only gets 12 kills on the first round and 19 on the second. Also make sure he dies 20 or so times each run. The next part gets a little upsetting but just bear through it. Now if you do what I did, you should recieve ascendant materials the first run and strange coins on the second. Also, the level 28 will recieve the thunderlord 2.0 at first and gjallahorn 2.0 on the second run. Just grind your teeth a little as he screams in joy. Clench your fists. Shake your head. In that order. Once this is completed, tell your friend he is a douche for bringing an under level 28 in who got all the loot. Tell him goodbye and leave. Head to the tower, then go to the mission The First of Crota. The first run you won't get anything but if you run it a second time you will get it off the blade of crota in the level. I know from personal experience that this method requires a lot of patience and is a crazy emotional roller coaster ride from hell. Even though you had to give up your chance at anything good from nightfall you will recieve the HotP, which I know seems like a small pittance compared to the 2 exotics your friends friend recieved but we'll see who is laughing in January... ...come to think of it, he'll probably be the one laughing because he'll probably have it by then. It's worth a try. Let me know if it works for you

I farmed fist of crota, one of my buddies got it on the 3rd try, I got it on the 20th try, and my other buddy is going on 50th and hasnt got it yet so goodluck.

I got it today within an hour crota blade killing in the cosmadrom I also got 5 bounty's done in that time so I didn't waist it and using black wax got 5000 glimmer as well. what I want to know is what's the reason for keeping it.
