For Xbox you do what he did.
PS4 it is easiest to just disconnect Ethernet cord.
The host can join back be revived and get rewards.
You must do it once his knee touches the ground.
I partly want this to get patched so that when hard mode comes we won't have noobs who don't know how to do Crota.
