Has Anyone Heard "The Fallen" Speak?

I might just be going crazy but I have seen speculations of the fallen speaking... And the speaker saying things that don't make sense... I decided to go to earth on patrol. I wanted to hear this for myself. I walked up to Fallen and it's true. I heard them say a few things that are clear... Other aren't decipherable like "Ron iz dirk" probably not true but it might be "Run It's Dark!" I really need to have people help me with this but I've heard the speaker say "This Doesn't Make Sense..." Then mumbles along while looking at the books next to him. Please in the comments help me with this... I might be onto something Could we really be the darkness?!? It's very possible I've heard several other people in the forums discuss this theory... I think us guardians of the so called "Light." Aren't actually guardians... We're more likely murderers and trespassers. To Add On - Has Anyone Seen the movie The Truman Show? Its about someone from birth that was recorded 24/7 on a tv show, in a fake city, everyone knows hes a lie, just for the humor of people watching... He has no alone time and theres cameras everywhere What im trying to say is... Could We Be A Lie? maybe Eris Rahool And the others could just be tricking us.. We were born into The Fallen, the Hive, The Vex, and cabal... But the Guardians took us in to fight back for them Credit To - duzton Darkspam25 GreyGooseDiver DESTR0YERv2 KecKK Ghost Fox shinsengumi6163 Mr Ueada EHC robin the elf DryMcGuardian ScytheNL JergenBlitz timillionaire93 Ashitaka

 • Here are my thoughts: I don't know if the OFFICIAL story is that we are actually evil. Mainly because I feel there once was a storyline, but in order to get the game out a lot of the narrative was cut, plus I staunchly believe that the game was cut up in order to release it in DLC but thats another topic entirely. Anyways, I think it makes sense and is cool if the Traveler is not the Good entity we're told it is. The Ghosts were made in the Traveler's last gasp of "consciousness" and they revive us, formerly dead people. We are never really told much about what are eventual goal is or a clear purpose. The Speaker I don't think is consciously evil but basically is the leader of a mystical cult which basically worships the Traveler and its Light. Now, here are is my main interest of our goal and purpose. We're told we're supposed to fight the "minions who serve the Darkness". Well lets look at our enemies: The Fallen: They are apparently scavenger's and raiders either by nature or something happened to their homeworld forcing them to seek resources elsewhere in space. They use conventional craft and weapons and never really use anything that looks like "magic" or anything that looks like its from the Darkness. We don't know too much about their goals other than they seek to conquer. The Vex: They have different factions that operate as a mutual consciousness. They seem to want to mechanize the universe and everything in it (including planets!). They generally rely on their superior technology and eschew anything like magic. However in the last story mission it seems they are using or siphoning a some sort of the Darkness. The Cabal: Some weird alien mercenaries. Come on, no one likes the Cabal. The Hive: Here seems to be the main "enemy" when it comes to fighting The Darkness. Everything they do seems to be based on magic. A cool theory I had is that these were once humans who traveled through space and found the Darkness and were warped by it. All the Hive are mostly humanoid. So it seems like we, the Guardians of the Tower, are not told the full story about the purpose of our battle. It doesn't seem like the Traveler is openly nefarious, but neither does it seem benevolent. We simply don't know enough (read: anything) about the Darkness and its purpose. Is this by purposeful design? I don't think so. The direction and execution made by Bungie seems slapdash at best. But those are just some of my thoughts on the matter. TL;DR: It seems like the Hive are really the only "minions of the Darkness" and the info we have on and about the Traveler is super shady and we don't know anything about the Darkness. Whom do we serve and why? Whats our real purpose?
