It's a magazine, not a clip. A clip helps load the magazine with ammunition. /Rant

guns that use "Clips" (Stripper-fed weapons) include the M1 Garand, as used in WW2. (also has an injury named after it, Garand Thumb.) and the 1912 Steyr Hahn Pistol. (commonly known as the Steyr Hammer). the 1896 Mauser "Broomhandle" was also fed via Stripper clip. these weapons had internal magazines, but were fed via Stripper Clip making "clip" the correct term for these weapons. weapons which feature flat, Box or Drum-shaped External Magazines (most Firearms today) require just that: Magazines. it's not a major issue, and I know what a person means when they say "I need a Clip!", but it can grate on some people. "I need a Mag!" is just as easy to say, and won't piss off gun nerds.
