Blind Watch Unplayable

As I've read on here, many agree with the -blam!- up of blind watch. The main point of it being. Spawn at A: Lose/Spawn trap for sure Spawn at C: Almost Guarunteed win. I swear these maps for control are designed worse than CoD maps...I mean seriously? why is it any outside flagis close to the middle? it's the same as controlling A and B in Rusted Lands. The only map I know of that is truly equal distances from B is Twilight Gap and Firebase Delphi. And given the "Fix" on the Blind watch map it makes it damn near impossible now to actually secure B or get free of a spawn trap if you spawn on A At least in B's original spot you had CHANCE TO GET IT IF YOU SPAWNED ON A. And when you have a whole team of Vex wielding, heavy weapon spamming a$$holes holding C you can't do anything..even if you kill one or two of them by coming behind them, within moments the rest of the bastards simply need turn and light your ass up, then turn and get back to murdering. played that map 3 times in a row, all three times different lobbies. No matter which direction i go or what gun or grenade i used, I could not get out of my spawn or make any headway on clearing them out. Way to go Bungie..way to add on to all the other -blam!-s ups you made so far...Especally given you've made PVE damn near impossible for most people to Solo..Because you know....NOT EVERYBODY HAS THE VEX OR LEVEL 30-32 GEAR!! I mean seriously..? you make not only the nightfall 30, but also the max difficulty for the daily? as well as all the other missions? I understand for the new missions and such but the old ones too? not all of us have all these badass friends to pair up with..This coming from a guy who had no choice but to solo 90 percent of the game.

  • Not if you play it properly. Don't even bother capping A or B before you run around and get C. That swaps the sown points, now your team spawns at C and can overrun B. Not always as easy as that, but that's how you win when you spawn a A. No reason at all to take it out of rotation.

    • I think the new blind watch is fine it's firebase Delphi that needs a look, no matter how fast you are Alpha side will always make it into the B room before Bravo.

      • Oh I dunno. Ghosts had probably the worst spawntrap map of all time in Stonehaven. Just let the other team cap B whilst you get their home flag, then pin them in the castle that only has 3 exits. Snipers and thermal LMGs covering the exits = killstreaks for [i]days[/i]

      • I think that a proplem with blind watch is that many players are to focused on the control aspect of the game, I play that map more as a deathmatch and then it works ok..

        • Two things one you can just flip the spawns and second one of the problems is most people play control like its is domination and it's not. It's about control on you point and B then getting as many kills as possible while controlling those two points.

        • I have a thread discussing the spawns in the game, for some reason people seem to actually like the spawn trapping, I can't figure out why, it makes a large number of control matches one sided as all hell. Maybe that's what they like, I have no idea, you're supposed to control points not spawns imo.

          • When they first did this I would agree with op. Now though I can play either with a full team of people I know or a complete team of randomness and win from a. I'm not saying I'm ba but you just have to use a little strategy. If that doesn't seem to work for you hope for some luck and that at least one of them triggers a spam flip.....

            • I like the new A and find spawning on A and C more even now. B on the other hand is a stupid change and whoever came up with the idea needs a pay reduction.

            • Agreed, they need to go back to how it was originally with the exception of C flag. Where C flag is now is a decent spot. They need to open that window they closed for no reason too. No body ever goes on the bottom part of the "sniper's roof."

            • While I'd leave out some of the cursing and the hyperbole, the crux of the OP's lament is in fact a problem that needs to be dealt with. Now, if you hold C and B in Blind Watch...which is ridiculously simple to do...you win. It's real easy. Don't go after A. Grab B and C and then don't even advance on A, just defend B and sometimes C. Game Over. It's not fun...for either side. Doing the same thing over and over for 15 minutes gets old about 7 minutes in for me.

            • Look at my most recent game in the crucible. Went on without some buddies and I get otters with controllers as teammates. DONT WORRY ABOUT A. C and B are the main flags to worry about. Sadly my team did not know this. But I agree this map needs tweaking.

            • Sometimes my team just sits at A on purpose so that we can snipe the enemy team when they come onto the roof. We win no matter what side we spawn on.

            • This is exactly why I prefer to play with a fireteam then you can take advantage of the unbalance by always controlling the "objective" point (the one that guarantees victory) if we don't start with the good spawn we take it full force and coordinate to maintain control. Though this map is the most unbalanced almost every map has a point that gives some degree of advantage. Shores of time = C + B (snipers dream map) Rusted lands = A + B Firebase Delphi = A + B Twilight Gap this one in my opinion is the most balanced but we've recently been focusing on maintaining control of A + C. It allows us to avoid snipers and the "grenade hole". It also gives quick and easy access to both heavy spawns. You can also really take advantage of the very cqc in the corridors. This is the only map I switch weapons on to use TLW.

Then we take B = spawn flip. It's so easy. Done that even with randoms. But usually 2 idiots stay near A and snipe, 1 guy goes for B , another guys try to flank B - they both die ofc . You try to take C alone , and get zerg'd.

              • yeah this map sucks even more now then before. i can't even count how many times i was only one trying to get c, and almost every time i realised i wasn't good enough to kill all team

              • Yeah I hate that map. Best strategy for the team by A is to immediately rush C and capture it and then forcefully evict the other guys probably capping B. Though if you fail its pretty much game over at that point. Good luck ever doing that though. 90% of people just sit on A then rush B and get slaughtered at the door like sheep. I'm the only person that ever rushes C immediately when I play unfortunately.

              • not much better on firebase delphi or on shores of time, the key to success seems to be hold the better spawn point over holding the B flag
