So as we all know The Dark Below has arrived. With this expansion the overall light level has increased up to 33 on legendary gear and up to 36 on exotic. And yet we look back at all of our grinding through the VOG, and hours working for pieces of legendary gear to boost us to light level 30. Now time wasted. The raid gear, the true meaning of commitment and being a true warrior in Destiny. (And also some of the most fantastic looking gear) is now worthless. Throw it away and buy better gear form the vanguard.... Why!? Why should my hard work and commitment go unsung. Grinding to the bone for sacred raid gear now for nothing? Some of my most beautiful gear worthless? Vault of Glass a useless raid? My question to Bungie is why can't our legendaries be upgraded in light level like exotics?... Exchange with Xur and reset the piece as you would an exotic? Bungie said how if we are all aiming for one goal, the game is unbalanced and not diverse. Well look at what has happened.. Screw all this interesting balanced raid gear. Trash it and let's all buy the same exact gear from the vanguard.. Please Bungie, allow players to be diverse and work to keep our favorite gear relevant by allowing players to upgrade them with a higher light level. -A frustrated supporter of Destiny Also cite Polygon's article.
