Does Dragon's Breath need a buff?
I know it's early in the DLC
But the new hyped exotic rocket launcher is junk.
The Dragon's Breath gets beat by pre DLC Legendary rocket launchers, in fact it gets beat by ever single one I have compared it to, with only killing on direct impact and barely harming on close proximity shots.
THE DRAGON'S BREATH NEEDS A BUFF OR IT WILL NO SURVIVE AS A WEAPONS.

It should have manual tracking.... If you stay ads the rocket will follow your reticle
-
It makes good exotic shards so I think it's fine
-
Just needs tracking and let the flare stick to the enemies, put it on par with Gjallarhorn, maybe a damage buff for the flare
-
I think it's a great launcher, I love using mine. The only buff it needs is for the solar flare to last a bit longer and stick to its target. If a simple grenade can stick to a target I'm sure they could make the flare stick also. That way a mobile boss won't just juke out of the way after a couple ticks of DOT. Full damage every time you hit your target.

All Dark below exotic weapons are trash
-
It should shoot a line of fire that pierces armor and has damage over time. That is dragons breath
-
I like my DB. It is a decent rocket launcher that can be used to control the flow of combat as well as deal damage.
-
Needs a perk like solar flares burst
-
Well I'm sure some love it and some it's their only option. But, for me, I would never use it for any reason other than to mess around on a strike or maybe a weekly with solar burn.
-
Give it full auto

-
At least needs the solar flare to stick
-
I have gotten about 7 of those from Crota. But still no Gjallarhorn:(
-
I agree that it does need a buff. I believe making the flare last longer along with tracking and perhaps give it three rockets without using the tripod ability will put it up to par with Ghorn. I would also like for it to make a unique noise perhaps a roar after a rocket has been launched out. Also, make the flare a little more unique than the sunsingers solar flare grenade.
-
I suggest keeping the same velocity, add aggressive tracking. Maybe a slight buff but with a slow velocity and aggressive tracking like truth it would be up to par with an exotic. There are also many other excellent suggestions as well. The dragons breath as of now just is not worth using up an exotic slot unfortunately it's a shame. I hope they change something on it.
-
Instead of solar flare give something like a napalm strike. All those that survive the initial blast have a dot effect similar to thorn's... only solar damage. Then it would be worthy of the name.
-
Yes, it does. Three in the Tube should be built in like it is on Truth. Solar Flare should last twice as long. Increase its velocity and swap out a perk for Warhead Verneirs. Give it proximity detonation. Bam, it's now actually a decent launcher for what it is.

Yes it does I barely got it and I went to try it out I shot a blue shielded guy direct and didn't even kill him my rare rocket launcher does almost just as good but never leveled it up so that probably the problem
-
If they let the flare stick to enemies it could match the Gjallarhorn
-
I think the solar flare needs buffing if anything, maybe make it so it doesn't drive enemies away in PvE and lasts a little longer and I'd be fine.

Edited by Janek: 12/16/2014 11:18:42 PMIs there a good new exotic? I have the feeling that all the new ones are weak

So for clarification purposes, it should be called Bad Breath until the buff??
