I might as well work on other rep levels, such as Eris' because you've locked new currencies to her (thanks), and continue buy Vanguard or Crucible weapons/armour, because they're just as good as the crap Saladin is pandering. I feel like pvp is pointless in general after you have the gear you want. All other things you need are in dally and weekly pve activities.

The new weapons seem alright, i've been using the AR, which was rerolled to include a stability upgrade and a map visibility. Was it worth the grind though, no. The level 5 piece should be a raid quality item so you still need to raid to get to max, but feel like you accomplished something.

I helped a couple of people out with IB, but mostly made a point of playing standard Crucible - just so the data shows that I wasn't interested in the IB carrot. Seems like they are always targeting new players over those of us who have played too much.

Hey as a hardcore pve guy I would be doing iron banner if the loot was good but the only reason I would play is the chance at gjallahorn 2.0. Iron banner has been a total fumble and a waste for players we need some serious pve event that were promise with good loot to go alone with it. Sorry for your luck dude

I agree its a stupid idea to bring iron banner gear as 31 instead of 32. What I don't get is why people care about weapons not being 330 attack. 300 is still fine unless you are going against higher level enemies like the raid. I rarely ever fully upgrade weapons, it just doesn't make much difference Honestly the should focus on adding better crucible game modes over iron banner. Capture the flag anyone? That should be a no brainer. How long does it take to make -blam!-ing swat?

I don't blame ya, I didn't even touch IB this time. It had nothing I wanted and my raid gear n new vendor was superior. The shaders were the same, the weapons deplorably underwhelming, so I viewed it as Meh and stayed away from it. But thats just me.

Agreed. I only got sucked in, in order to get the ib sniper. The one I rolled is bad ass.. Field scout and final round. Made it SOMEWHAT worthwhile.

I could give a shit about the guns or gears. I did the bounties cause id play crucible anyway so i leveled up gear with them.

Ya it was kind of a shit smear dragged across my face, waste of my time, next one I am not doing. He should sell all the weapons and armor and only go to rank 3. Don't waste my time anymore! And reforge is just RNG I might as well get exotic stuff from xur to turn into exotic shard if I don't want it.

What's pointless is the gear you're doing all that for. Wow. I think PvP ruins games in general, but I feel for you zero-sum'ers. All that nonsense for basically tower gear. To paraphrase the WOPR from "WarGames", The only way to win is not to PvP at all.

You said it, 2 nd week of dlc. It's a way to get to 31 through pvp, instead of farming marks. Next IB might give lvl 32 gear.

The only reason I'm going in is I'm too lazy to grind marks for the warlock I made. I don't prioritize it at all so I'm going to grind out rank 3, maybe 4 and get the gear and then get enough marks for a chest from dead orbit. Then maybe xur can be nice and sell obsidian mind and will force me to level up voidwalker.

Amen boycott the ib till it gets fixed to what it was in the alpha and beta. Where lvls mattered bungie broke down to the cry babies of the gaming world. Give them their own server where they can shit rainbows outta their guns and give hugs for melee and everyone gets participation medals and let the real men play the game how it was intended.

Bump! And I personally agree with OP. Iron Banner was a waste of time for high levels, and that was very unfortunate for me because I am a PvP guy and I wanted to continue crushing guardians in the Iron Banner, but more so I wanted the best quality gear and weapons, so I am raiding now instead of Pvp.
